I did it for the science. Had to test new renderer's light reflections on a bald head. Don't ask me why.
(even put this in a logbook, phahaha)


You should try it in RL. Pretty fun first few times.

@Kenji: I understand your frustration and, in that, you are far from alone! However, Frontier will get back on track I’m sure.
By all means take a break from Elite, catch up on some other games, but (my view) outright uninstalling ED is a bit like throwing the baby out with the bath water

Ah. Already had right side shaved completely. Now I'm trying to grow a bob. Like... Third time in a life, phah. But nothing can stop me now...
And yeah, renderer in this 'RL' thing is nice, it isn't giving me any reason to test the bald head light reflections.

What the hell is going on in this game lately?

Cant open any system maps anymore.
Cant see most body's untill i almost crash into them.
Codex only partially working.

Maybe i should just take Gorfgorf's advice and just uninstall...

I think they want to be more like RL, until you "honk" the system you don't have any map showing planets and moons...

I can't imagine a reason why anyone would want to know anything about a system without pausing a moment to honk it, unless perhaps than popping in merely as a waypoint, possibly scooping fuel, & continuing on in a rush somewhere else.

But, I'm mainly an explorer, so it's second nature to me.

Is this issue a result of any recent update? If so, I haven't encountered it yet, as it's been a few days since I've logged in to play.

Simplified gameplay and all the casual stuff. But...
Bodies, invisible on map before you scan the system - ok.
Bodies, invisible in flight - it's a bug.

Well that still doesnt apply then because the system map is already fully known to me.
Its my home system. Been for a while now. Well not the one in the pic tho.
And even then. I cant see the bodies but i can crash into them...
Honk or no honk.

Whenever i vist a system for the first time i always fully scan it (honk + FSS).
Even if just passing through. Unless there's like ober 50 bodies. Then iam like "next system". XD

Also. Its not that the system maps are empty.
I just cant open them what so ever.
Just keep loading and loading and loading and loadi........

It all started yesterday evening.
I thought a planet had an odd shape.
Then this morning, when travelling i started seeing it left right and center.
Both in SC, normal space and even on the FSS the body isnt showing up.

So my guess is Fdev broke something with the server update.


I've never seen that happening. Are playing in Horizons or Odyssey?

Regardless, have you tried to verify game files?

Here's hoping that you get if sorted. It must be frustrating!
