Any ship with 20+ ly jump range will go to Colonia. If you plan to use Neutron star cone boost just be sure to have AFMU and enough mats to synthesis ammo for it.

If you do not have much engineering done, DBX or AspX/Phantom are better than Anaconda.

More room for The Empire!

Oh, don't worry, independent CMDRs will bring freedom to those imperial slavers too.

Darth BoziHello Commanders,

Looking for some good advice - planing that rite of passage trip to Colonia. I will take the scenic route, so not hitching a ride on someone's carrier.

Any special equipment you would recommend?

Thanks !

According to the Galaxy Plotter the trip from Sol to Colonia is 99 jumps in this AspX. 22kly is a long journey so the larger your jumprange the less grueling the trip will be. I've done it a few times myself with no issues. I wasn't even interdicted, but, that's not to say the risk isn't high. I would consider using Inara or EDDB to find FC or stations along your route for save points in case you get jumped.

Any ship with a Class 6 fuelscoop and jump range > 45 LY should make for a fairly comfortable trip that you could do in an evening. AFMU (or 2 if you don't want to spend mats) for neutron boosting is pretty much the only other important thing. Well, you really should get the Guardian FSD Booster. Frankly it was my first unlock goal on my alt.

Don't worry too much. Just fly.

I took my first trip to Colonia in an unarmed, unshielded 17ly Sidewinder and arrived safely. There isn't anything dangerous out there.

SakashiroThere isn't anything dangerous out there.

Everything that's dangerous out there saw you in an unarmed, unshielded 17ly Sidewinder and thought you're more dangerous, so nothing bothered you.

There's dangerous things in Colonia. They just aren't interested in you.

If you use the Neutron Stars Network you should have an eye on your FSD condition after a few jumps. Every neutron established jump takes a bit from your FSD condition, if it falls under 80% there can be incorrect jumps, just hold it over 80% with the AFM Unit and it will be fine all the way

..and a engineered fsd (v1) you can get via tech dealer, if you dont have one already. the krait mark II is also a good choise, i like that ship very much.
a detailed surface scanner and maybe a planetary vehicle hangar, if you want to explore some planets; there are many interesting places you will find..

Was Stimmt nicht mit den Leuten die immer und immer wieder im selben System in gruppe warten um dich weg zu ballern? Unbegreiflich

Does anyone know if there is a reason I'm getting a wide range of Tonnage and Cost for the same specced Hull Armor?

Aber gut zu wissen das ich nicht der einzige bin dem es passiert. bin nicht so der PvP typ.. aber wenns nicht anders geht muss ich gucken wie ich welche waffen am besten einbaue

Thank you all. Really feels like a community. I never had any of the Krait ships, not sure why - maybe because I melted a few in Challenger and then in Python. Perhaps it's time to take a second look and go for a spin.... Anaconda and ASP are both engineered, but I didn't bother with Guardian stuff yet.
I haven't done any Neutron Star jumps yet, maybe something I should try, but I am a bit more reluctant to do that outside the bubble, in theory you could end up somewhere where there is no escape (too far for a regular jump and no neutron star in sight) - did anyone had that happen to them?
Also, thank you Burstar and Episparh for those resources, I will sure stop by and check at least some of those stations, I did say "scenic route" I admire you for suggesting that kind of trip can be done in one night, that ain't my reality - real life comes calling.

So where do you stop for the night? in open space in a system or on a planet?
