A rational part replies with "ah, goddammit, it will be another cringeneering materials grind".

Yeah, thanks. I know the theory, but there's no chance to 'try out' without that grind... Non-engineered weapons can't give the full picture. Argh. Maybe some day. Some happy day when I'll have nothing to do more...

(and hope they won't close this game due to that EDO failure)

I think the most preferred mamba build is all frags, that includes size 3 on the large hardpoint.

Yip! After nearly 8,000 hours I sacked mine yesterday. Hadn't seen her in an age, so wasn't surprised she's now looking like Jabba the Hutt.
Was such a pretty girl when I met her. I have nearly 11 billion in the bank so you can only imagine how much it's cost me keeping that floosey in an ivory tower.

I like the high capacity mod for the MC. Even with corrosive shell I get about 17 minutes of continuous shooting out of it, according to EDSY. And I get more bullets out of my mats when I synthesize ammo. Corrosive shell also increases the damage my lasers inflict on the hull, so it's a win-win-win. Roasting those tanky Federal Assault Ships now takes much less time than before.

Now I'm wondering if it's time to switch the Mamba from A-rated to bi-weave shields...

(not to mention that Hudson himself got that awesome job after bombing Halsey)

There were minor improvements to Yamato/Musashi but basically they are same sounds. Shikishima on other hand is totally a different beast. You hear her guns even if you are on the opposite side of the map.

I had heard that was the case for the Shikishima. Haven't heard them myself yet. Kinda fell out of that game around the time of the carrier rework. Was active with a clan that formed back in the first year of that game. Unofficially of course until clans actually became a thing in the game. The community around WoWS was kind of like how ED's community was prior to Odyssey's release. These games built up amazing communities of players. But the companies seem to do an awful good job of destroying them.
