Claudius AetiusSteam's ED base game reviews turned from "good" to "Mixed". That's not good. ED had always good reviews from Steam.

As a console player. The UI changes of which you speak scare me. I hope they fix them before the fall!

As console player you should be mainly concerned about optimization. Especially if you have few years old hardware.

Ryanjt84Anyone know the difference between Level 2 and Level 3 detailed scan?
I think I heard that one of those is legacy. Perhaps, Artie will answer this.

Level 3 scan - a full planet scan with DSS

The Level 3 scan is just a scan with a DSS equipped. Scanning things like Stars and Asteroid Clusters also count to your Level 3 count (so long as the DSS is equipped and functional). No detailed probing necessary either.

The Level 3 scan is just a scan with a DSS equipped. Scanning things like Stars and Asteroid Clusters also count to your Level 3 count (so long as the DSS is equipped and functional). No detailed probing necessary either.
I think you only need to probe if you want the geo/bio/ring data and other markers (and more credits). The game has registered a lot of level 3 scans for me and I typically just use the FSSS/DSS while I am fuel scooping.

GALNET - 22 JUN 3307 - NMLA Makes Political Overtures
The Marlinism Reformation Party, which now represents the Neo-Marlinist fringe, has suggested a peace deal between the NMLA and the Empire.
Minister Aaron Whyte explained the proposal during a session of the Marlinist Parliament:
“Via anonymous intermediaries, we have received assurances that the Neo-Marlinist Liberation Army is keen to take advantage of our representation. I see this as a hugely positive step that will prevent further conflict.”
“In essence, the NMLA is offering reparations for the unfortunate casualties of its anti-authority activities within the Empire. In return, it requests a permanent presence in the Imperial Senate as a means of continuing political dialogue.”
Many other parliamentarians considered the proposal to be highly controversial. Minister Octavia Volkov declared:
“Providing the NMLA with a political wing, pretending they are reasonable people, suggesting they could pay off the families of everyone they’ve murdered… Whyte, you are an insult not just to Marlinism but to all humanity!”
First Minister Jenna Fairfax called for unity, insisting that the Marlinist Colonies must stand together to ensure their survival. However, she has officially requested that the Marlinism Reformation Party reverses its stance on negotiating with the NMLA.
