EpisparhGanking is pointless activity.... So, is trolling.

It's pointless like anything in gaming.

But what's truly pathetic is when gankers get salty over "pointless cope couriers". As if their own style of griefing was somehow special. Pot meet kettle. Turns out they are the worst carebears of all. Fucking hypocrites. Makes me wanna troll them even more, lol.

BurstarFrankly Saka they were right. While your Courier build does allow you to annoy gankers with relative impunity (and I applaud your efforts you cheeky minx) that's all it's good for if we're being honest about it. If you ever change ship to do anything else the lessons you 'learnt' in the Courier will not help but will actually harm because you will be in the habit of not doing the right things.

They are pretending that gank evasion is some sort of martial arts that's difficult to master. It isn't. You submit, turn around and boost, select a system, fly in unpredictable ways while the FSD charges, then high-wake. If your shields and hull hold up long enough, you escape. The slower your ship is, the more shields and hull you need. If the ganker carries Grom bombs and your ship is slow and doesn't have a fast boot FSD, you're screwed. That's all there is to it. And this rule applies to every ship in the game.

Their claim about long range rails is BS, and they know it. GEA is an exercise in buffoonery; the last thing they want you to know is how to stand up to bullies.

Oh I agree, but my point is that the Courier teaches you none of it. It's a security blanket that says 'hey I've got this' when really all you did was boost to victory. The equivalent to learning how to swim by holding onto the ladder and dunking your head a couple times. Helpful if you're a toddler, but if one can read your statement above teaches more. You're better off 'practicing' in an unengineered Challenger against NPC's. At least then you'd learn how to do it under a little stress and it wouldn't require engineering or a rank grind.

I have no doubt the GEA is a waste of time. It's a squadron of gankers with a funny name, but I honestly couldn't care enough to look up whether anyone actually believes their tutorial jest. Again, are you trolling the Trolls? Yes. Do I love it? Also yes. But I cannot get behind the idea of engineering a Courier as a teaching tool. It isn't one. A trolling tool yes, but that isn't what is being debated.

Sometimes you just have to accept that you love trolling.

Been playing the game for a year now and I see there are many areas which are permit locked .
As Ive often understood it , it is supposed to be for the Devs to use as a test bed for future developments or maybe for further additions to the game in future updates. Maybe something will come in Odessey ?
But one thing which has me stumped .
Why is Polaris locked ???? one system thats all it is and its one of the most prominent astronomical features in the galaxy .
Why cant we visit the Pole star ???

Lore hints for Thargoid homeworld or some important Thargoid structure/base/ship.

Maybe in this version of 34th Century it's occupied by some super important organisations and their secret facilities, hah. Or, yeah, Thargoid hints.
I remember visiting Polaris in the '93 version of Frontier... Maybe... Can't recall exactly now.

Rayman.Yeah its insane. I need to spend more time on space trucking if i want to be top 10%. I really want this onion skin for cobra mk3. Bounty hunting is some kind of joke in this system. They could have added pirate activity instead of weapons fire signal

Farm the Tor megaship. It spawns a pirate event that nets you between 5 - 10 million per turn.

Thanks so much, i didnt really know and already gaining lot of bounties.

BurstarOh I agree, but my point is that the Courier teaches you none of it. It's a security blanket that says 'hey I've got this' when really all you did was boost to victory. A Challenger? Why not a loaned Sidewinder? I'm not kidding; there's a reason why my Sidewinder is stored in Deciat. But I wouldn't recommend starting in one. Shield and hull percentages will tell you how close you were to failure, but rebuy screens won't tell you how close you were to success. Gank evasion is 90% engineering, because no matter how fast you perform the actions outlined above, everything depends on whether your ship can survive the FSD cooldown and charge periods. In a Courier you have to boost, because your shields won't last long under fire, and there's no hull behind them. That's why the Courier is a great ship for training: it requires more player intervention, not less. In a Cutter you may get away with twiddling your thumbs.

Regarding stress levels, NPCs are no comparison to players. When you get attacked by a ganker, your COVAS will spam you with warnings about all the various mods and experimental FX used against your ship. That's when you need to keep calm. NPCs won't prepare you for that.

Jango1458guys, how do you make such avatars (just like from the game) here?

You can take screenshots in the game by pressing F10 (or Alt-F10 for high resolution, works only in solo mode though). Ctrl-Alt-Space enters the camera suite, Num-0 enters free camera mode. You can take a snapshot of your avatar in the Codex, or sitting in the cockpit, or on foot (if you have Odyssey). Crop and scale the screenshot to 300x300 pixels size and upload to Inara.

Forgot to mention: The game saves screenshots to folder This PC > Pictures > Frontier Developments > Elite Dangerous.

thank you very much

New record set for highest g world. 45g

Note the '5 ships destroyed within last day' lol

For perspective, a 75kg person would weigh over 3 metric tonnes.
