Can you go to Colonia in an unengineered shieldless Sidewinder? Can you land a shieldless Anaconda on a 10G planet without taking damage? Can you become virtually invincible in a Courier? Been there, done that.

Can you do profitable trade runs with a T-9 in Deciat? Gonna find out!

Holy ****, supercruise assist just made me fly right through the backside of a Coriolis station.

Now I'm wondering, is it safe?

Safe? Safe for you or from you? Because if you supercruised right through the back of a Coriolis, I'd imagine they're not feeling too safe right now.

I thought Holdo Maneuvers were a different Universe?

I think if you went through it, you were going too fast in supercruise. Its happened to me about 3 times

Foolish question, but does anyone know if all of the star systems in game are present in the map?

i.e. if a system has never been discovered, would it appear on the map, or does it have to be discovered first?

Yes, they're all in the galaxy map. Otherwise there would be no way to discover them.

It should be in the the in-game map, but no third party like inara will know about it, until the cartographic data is sold (others should be able to confirm, or correct me).
The galaxy map route plotter is happy to use stars that haven't been visited.

At least EDSM has the knowledge of a system as soon as you've been there, depending on your settings in ED Market Connector. Basically the first step is AFAIK a rough location which will be more precise with the number of visits and/or submitted distances to reference systems.

Technically speaking it is not the selling cartography data that makes the systems visible to 3rd party tools. Selling data tags the system in game with CMDR's name. 3rd party tools use player seeded data to EDDN with tools like ED market connector. This small difference can lead to few oddities.
1. System discovered in-game may not be visible to 3rd party tools if data is not seeded.
2. System known to third party tools can still be not discovered in game. This is the case where person visits the system and seeds data to EDDN but lost the cartographic data in game. (example: one way systems pre-FCs, where a ship can reach a system but cannot return from it)

Supercruise assist speeding is great for harvesting signal sources. I regret not trying this earlier.
