Elite: Game talk

RawnuThe Thargoid party has moved to Reynolds' Inheritance in the Holvandalla system. Pew pew, see you there!

It looks like it's 100% now, no?

For both this system and others, so I better understand the game mechanic: Does 100% mean that AXCZs are no longer available in the system? Or just that the "invasion" has been won (and AXCZs will still be there until the duration is complete)?

100% is what it says on the label here - the systems are functionally ‘dead’ to any combat or mission opportunities at that point, and while some AXCZs might persist as POIs in system, all you will find is NPCs circling endlessly with zero Thargoids in sight.

Frontier - presumably - decided to include this “feature” to reduce the amount of wasted player effort but I think all that it did was lead to players getting rather annoyed about “All the invasions are dead on the weekend already, but I didn’t get to play until Saturday/Sunday/Monday/whatever”, and quite a few did not appear to care for their “wasted progress” as long as they had fun. While those who naturally moved along to the next ongoing invasion did so anyway, so it was one of those “trying to herd cats” moments, which I can’t say exactly how successful it was.

It’s also not a fix to poor balancing leading to a state which can last weeks routinely getting cleared in less than a day, and all of them generally being taken out by Monday-Tuesday, if not earlier.

That's what I thought and I agree with the sense of "well, I guess I missed it"
