You might try enabling all stars in your galaxy map, as the in game calculator might be failing out because you need to jump to a dwarf or neutron star to supercharge to make it.

Careful with using supercharging to get to remote places, because there may be no dwarf or neutron star to make it back.

RazoredgI think I'd like to try a little AX combat....I built a Krait MKII long ago but never really got into it....if anyone could take a look at it and makes suggestions I'd really appreciate that...

My AX Krait

I do have almost every AX module opened except maybe the fighters....need to check later in game....so if anything needs to change I probably have access to it...

Thanks in advance!!

If you're looking to get into AX combat go visit the Anti-Xeno Initiative Discord or our website which includes comprehensive information about everything Thargoid you could ask for.

About your build, you don't need A grade sensors. Save power using D grade long range with at least 6km radius. The Guardian Hybrid Core utilities aren't as good as engineered A grade stuff, the Multicannons are only useful against scouts. Gauss Canons are the primary damage weapons to use for Interceptor fights. Thermal vent Beam laser for shields and Remote Flak for swarms (until you can avoid them) are also recommended.
This was my starter build but the Krait is also a good choice.

When you plan equipment - in my case for the Krait MK2, does it always run under the same scheme?

That is:
Internal systems such as power plant, FSA, engine, power distribution all rank A.

Weapons 2 Thermal and 3 Kinetic weapons

Optional systems: Hangar Yes + Shield Cell and Hull Reinforcement.

?

This is exactly why I'm going to work on a ship that has better jump range than my Krait Phantom before I even think about making my planned expedition. That way, I don't have to have to rely on a supercharge to get to where I want to go.

It can run pretty much on any scheme you want, it's your ship. But the things you have already suggested sound like you are on the right track. Here's my personal PvE build for my Krait. Looking over it again, I think I might make some changes.

Anyways, feel free to use that build as a base and change things around. Maybe place a SCB in place of that cargo rack and the point defence with a heat sink so you won't overheat when you use your SCB. And if your a better shot than I am with Fixed weapons, then maybe change the Gimballed weapons out too. Use what works for you. Hope this helps. ^_^

ok..
if im asteroid mining any way "to get 500t of junk" where can i do it and also find selenium?

I have 0 interest in driving around on planets. "i dont even like delivering cargo to planets."

so any ideas?
pristine metal rings? icy things???

thnx in advanced.

You can pretty much mine just about anywhere, but only certain places offer the most rewards (like mining for Low Temperature Diamonds and Void Opals). Just depends on what kind of mining you want to do. Surface mining or Deep Core Mining. Perhaps both? In my experience, surface mining is easier. Still haven't gotten the hang of Deep Core Mining yet.

Unless someone with more experience cares to correct me (please do), I have bad news for you. It's much easier to find Selenium on planetary surfaces than in asteroids (it's pretty rare to find Selenium in those floating rocks). But if you'd rather avoid driving that SRV, then go to a Raw Materials trader and trade other materials for Selenium (if you can). Otherwise, slap on a planetary surface scanner on your ship, scan a planet to 100% to detect Geological signals and hop in your SRV.

I don't know how good the system is for mining asteroids but it is a good place for Selenium if you don't want to travel too far for it. Here it is: Go to system LHS 417 on the moon 9EA

I bought the game to fly a spaceship not drive about lol. (not overly impressed with asteroid mining either to be fair but at least im still in my space ship)
So far i haven't found much selenium asteroid mining, "mostly pristine metallic rings" But i have found some.
was just wondering is some specific ring type(s) had more potential than others.

Sorry, to bring you the bad news but high grade raw mats are only from surface prospecting. You can always cross trade what you need with material traders but this will not be very effective.

i wonder if thats why there are less players now than when i used to play before.
im sure they will eventually change it if it is.

but i have found selenium in rings as i have used some to do engineering and have never mined on a planet.
