Dunno how much 'medicine' he needs but looks like it's pretty busy over there. Maybe fill up as much as possible and then head over Cornsar on Sunday.

100 limpets in a painite hotspot and 0 painite later. "today i learned you can only laser mine painite in pristine rings regardless of there being a hotspot or not"

just to confirm that lol..

Just went to a pristine metallic and 10 limpets later and 5t of the stupid stuff

There are painite core rocks but they look different. Hotspots have better yield even better if same of the type overlaps.

So i had another interceptor battle and i did good this time, i think.. I dont have xeno scanner, anti emp thing and beam lasers. When i was about kill last scout, another interceptor show up and i coundlt see him. Didnt want to risk getting emped from another one so i retreated.


I guees i'll keep practice

Replace painite with platinum and you have my last Sunday. I was trying to make a map in a platinum hotspot in a metal-rich ring. Thankfully I had my core mining gear with me.

Just today I found out that the “Material Content” value on an asteroid refers only to the engineering materials, not to the total mineable content. Makes me regret all the value I have just breezed by.

Ive heard a rumour or it may be a fact by now , that if you visit Dav´s hope and collect materials , instead of just logging out and back in again , you now have to take off , go to supercruise then spin round and land again if you want to collect more materials !!
If anyone has been there recently or has heard/ read the same or indeed , that it isnt true , feel free to post

The overlaps were nerfed but not as much as you describe.

Also, Painite is no longer the ideal laser mined mineral. The price was nerfed as was the demand so even when prices are okay you will get hammered by the flooding market mechanic that lowers the price if you have more than 25% of its demand in your hold.

The current meta for laser mining is Platinum (and Osmium when you find it) because even though its average value is slightly lower than Painite it is MUCH easier to find, mine, and sell for expected returns.
