Hey everyone,

Have tested the Scorpion. Excited and then let down. I could get past it not scanning as the Scarab does, but the absolute crap of a weapon (gun) makes the entire vehicle a waste of effort on the devs part and a foolish choice on the commanders part. Holding down the fire does increase its accuracy as others have reported ... yes ... from can't hit anything due to random wild shots to ==maybe== hitting a target twice out of ten shots ... yes from impossible to hit to a whopping 20% at BEST accuracy. (Was firing from a distance of approximately 300 to 500m) So yes it improves from worthless to total crap in accuracy. I suggest outside of dune buggy rides with a friend to give the Scorpion a miss.

Here's an idea Dev's, as commanders know; the vehicle becomes the replacement of the ship for land operations .... Hmmm, maybe we should make land vehicles in the same way we do space vehicles. Yes! Slots and sizes and Commanders pick the equipment. What a concept.

Have you tried shooting utilizing the turret or do you shoot from cockpit? Turret improves accuracy a lot. I will defend Scorpio, it has better survivability and much better driving stability than Scarab. Moreover, it has boom boom rocket launcher which is ideal for every ninja in galaxy

The scorpion design hints for anti-machine target concept. If you want to fight simmers, goliaths, turrets and even some light ship, the scorpion is a right choice.
The scarab is more precise tool which you can fly if needed. Scarab is way more deadly for on-foot targets because of it precision, it will hit on-foot target at max range while with scorpion you may miss it even in front of your gun.

Both vechicles makes no sense for ground combat. An experienced CMDR with G5 suit and weapons will melt any SRV from cover.

And the SRVs have no chance vs ship with dumbfire.

The scarab at least is useful, the scorpion is a joke.

If you like the Scorpion that is fantastic. I personally find it rather lacking when they associate it to the word "combat". I think it falls short in that category.

Additionally it doesn't even qualify for any other use as it doesn't have the capability to serve any other role outside of friend taxi.

Yeah I like it and it's quite refreshing to drive something new. Personally I do most on-foot combat outside the vehicle, but sometimes I kill "the leftovers" with it. And I think it's better than Scarab for destroying the settlement defences, although should be a little tougher maybe.

Let's just allow everyone to drive whatever they prefer

Is there any reason to get regular dumbfire Missile Rack? Advanced Missile Rack seems to be equivalent or better in every way.

There is none. In the past there was a problem with ammo synthesis to these, but now it's fixed
