F2P is usually P2W else there are no way for devs to earn. But technically you can still play it for free.
My point was the "flying" mechanics. "Click on station, select dock option in menu, ship magically docks" vs. "request docking and fly your ship into station than land on designated landing pad"

MeowersIs the banana flyable?

It's only there for us Silverbacks, hands offt.

EpisparhMore important question is does the banana have poop assist modules
Just leave it in the warm humid room for a couple of days and it will become a poop assist module!

Dear Explorers;
since when is the whole region between Witch head and Barnard's loop locked by permit?
I'm sure, I jumped through that a few months ago.
Alas, I had no time to stop at the nebula.
Wanted to visit Baranard's Loop now, but can't really find a way anymore.

EpisparhSCA have just one useful feature (...)

Meanwhile, there is me wanting a simple role for SCA: autopilot to the planetary outpost from orbit. How it is not a thing?

A lot of players during their first planetfall aren't aware you absolutely cannot be in the might Blue Zone speed while attempting it, because the exclusion zone will kick you out for too high speed. Hell, even me after years on ED always catch myself being in Blue Zone speed and being kicked out, because it's not something I do pretty often.

Since always, supposedly Thargoid controlled region.

Well actually before 3303 or 3302 it wasn't permit locked. So if you didn't time travel 5y in those 2 months you probably just found a route in between locked systems

Well, Frontier have a youtube guide for planetary landing. I think it is also accessible from game client in the training session. The learning curve for the game is very steep. In the beginning, new players should try to learn all the mechanics. Unfortunately, some content creators (thinking about some blue haired cmdr with a fancy accent which I as not native speaker clasify as redneck talk) are focusing of telling people how to make billions of credits fast instead of how to learn to play.

OK.
So it must have been another big Nebula, I came across once.
Seems like other CMDRs are jumping all the way around it and entering through the backdoor then, I guess?

Actually a very recent event had series of beacons to that thargoid/guardian battlefield that provides a path through permit locked sector.

Sir-Duke, let me know if you cannot find the list of beacons.

Edit: You can find the list here https://canonn.science/codex/proteus/

Nice! Thank you!

Would be nice to have an auto plannet entering system. I mean IRL the space shuttle autopilot reentered earth's atmosphere. I personally never had an issue with manually flying to planet surfaces but I'm lazy so an auto-pilot feature for this would be nice.

EpisparhUnfortunately, some content creators (thinking about some blue haired cmdr with a fancy accent which I as not native speaker clasify as redneck talk) are focusing of telling people how to make billions of credits fast instead of how to learn to play.

If FDev would focus on rebalancing the combat related aspect of the game, players would probably switch to spending more time learning the mechanics of the game. Unfortunately the ability to overcome skill with credits, and to an extremely greater degree with engineering, makes those power grinding guides nearly essential. I'm not great at combat in this game. But I dont have to be when engineering makes me impervious to even a capital ship. Which is a sad realization since I came from spending a lot of time if aircraft combat games (WarThunder, Jane's combat simulators, Crimson Skies, Red Ace, etc...). There was a fun thrill and satisfaction to learning to be better at it. To win by flying better than your opponents. In ED, engineering throws that out the window.
