just got an oculus quest 2 VR last week and have been playing in VR mode thru the oculus app. i could not find a way to type thru a virtual keyboard as i dont touch type. so i tried to go back to steam to play on my big screen TV, i cannot get the game to load like its supposed to it only loads the 'client' window to play in VR.. anyone help tell me how to get it back to load on my monitor. i really dont want to uninstall and reinstall the game and i dont know if that will even fix it.

Try Steam>Library>Elite:Dangerous>Properties>Launch Options> Enter "/novr" (-quotes). See if that helps.

Try Steam>Library>Elite:Dangerous>Properties>Launch Options> Enter "/novr" (-quotes). See if that helps.

What's that thing with crystalline shards? I found virgin bio system with shards and I hoped that I will replenish raws for FSD but the only mineral they have was yttrium though as much as you want. Then I experienced deja vu that I came across of something like that before when some rear mineral was important for something like a jump between galaxies. Somehow I am getting feelings that I played ED in the past long long time ago...very, very strange.

does anyone know whats the current profit amound you need in order to gain elite rank?
I was told its at 1.050.000.000 Cr. I already exceeded that amount, checked via statistics but the rank does not show up.
Neither does the progress bar increase.

That's the number I see in the Wiki. You should have that value in your Codex to be eligible. You may need to relog for it to show up.

the client window is the game window, just resize it back to your liking and you good to go, good luck

Then keep going. The wiki page says also that the numbers are not exact. You are close. Do some more trading/mining and it will happen.

^ This. Also, I'm not sure if trading to Fleet Carriers affects the Codex entry, but it does not count towards rankings so maybe that is the problem? Is your rank bar full?

Edit: your rank bar is 88% into Trader still so I might be right and FC trades are boosting your number higher than the Rankings actually use...

Possibly he sold tritium to carriers...?
I am told that this does not count towards ranking in Commerce.
Dunno if there are other caveats...still only Entepreneur m'self.

Can't give any proof, but I have the same feeling, as selling to a FC is recognised by the game and in your codex, but is not counting towards the rank.
Might be to prevent exploits.
