NP. While I'm thinking about it the "Desktop+" app on Steam has also has a virtual keyboard and is also useful for things like watching twitch while exploring
Ah, to be clear Desktop+ lets you overlay desktop windows on your VR game interface. I just used Twitch as an example.

Are the beagle point and its surrounded areas safe place to visit? The reason I asked is that when I reached The Formorian Frontier from The Veils, it appears quite crowded with carriers all the way to beagle, and when I checked its traffic reports it shows ships which hardly could be explorers like FDLs. So I assume it could be some gankers there too, and I don't want to be thrown away back for 10K LY if killed. Thanks

MadBeachUSAPROBLEM.. i have been playing ED in VR so when i tried to go back to playing on my big screen it keeps loading the VR 'client' how to go back to playing on monitor?
I dunno because I am never going back to flat-screen games.
Tis why I only disembark to claim FFs. Once I make my claim I am back onboard the ship.

I didn't see another ship other than the carrier when I was in Beagle a month ago.
The only danger with Beagle is jumping into an oubliette.
Stars are pretty sparse when you get north of Beagle Point.

If you're worried just fly in solo.
No self-respecting Commander should ever fly in solo mode*
*with the possible exception of using an AFK T10 to mine credits. Even then, the commander should have already leveled up to Elite before they do. Having your T10 level up for you is lowly.

Are you using steam? It gives you an option at launch to go flat screen or vr.

Ganking at Beagle point and other popular location was a thing even before FCs. If you fly a slow cardboard explorer build that will die from 2-3 salvos of pvp ship better stay in solo or PG.

Are you using a Vive Pro? If so, you gotta shut off VR first. Dunno why but it launches automatically now.
When I tried just now, (after shutting down the Vive interface AND Steam VR...multiple times...) I got the Elite Dangerous client window. It just sat there. So I chose Odyssey in the lower left corner and launched it manually. Blue button.
