I bet every combat bond in this game is simple object having just two properties "faction and amount" .

Bonds earned in other systems counts too. So if you do not want to loose rep with one of the CG factions go and earn bonds in some of the other wars

Which experimental effect is best for the already engineered community FSD to get even more range out of it? Deep Charge, Stripped, or Mass Manager?

My math sucks, but it looks like the +4% boost with Mass Manager squeaks out the most range. Phantom now hits 71.76LY with a fuel scoop, planetary hanger, 1D repair limpet, AMU, cargo rack, DSS, 3D Shields, heat sinks, and Guardian Booster, with no other engineered modules

Mass Manager is always the best except in some niche circumstances.

Mass Manager is always the best. Small drives jump a little further with Deep Charge, but the increase in fuel consumption means you'll spend more time scooping, so in the end you'll be slower.

For absolute max range I had always been told the rule of thumb was if the FSD was a size 5 or bigger then go with Mass Manager. If under size 5, go with Deep Charge. But for practical use I would also agree with Sakashiro on the extra fuel burn issue.

anyone else having trouble loading the CG info? it softlocks my game into being only able to back out to the main menu; other than that im staring straight out of the cockpit with zero control

I think it is opposite. 5<= mass, 5>deep

You are wrong. But as Yuna said, do not bother at all with derp charge. It gives slightly better results on the cost of increased fuel consumption.

A word about those new FSD. They are hot and overheat your ship more than normal one. So if your ship have thermal problems you may want to consider thermal spread experimental.

Example: Type-9

Finally, https://edsy.org/ have those FSDs added so you can go and experiment with your builds.

The only ship I'd use the Deep Charge experimental with is the Dolphin. The reason being you can scoop and charge your Hyperdrive at the same time without issue. This means the added scoop time caused by the DC excess fuel consumption becomes moot. Mass Manager all other times unless you have a very specific reason for something else.

Also, just because you 'can' add the experimental doesn't mean you should. It could be breaking something in the database behind the scenes we can't see. Essentially, the coders have enough problems without us possibly adding to them. On the other hand, if it was really going to break anything why even allow us the possibility either by not locking it or even letting us have the FSDs to begin with? F it. Let it all burn.

Doing CG's CZs alone in open is completely waste of time.

1. Space CZ - inevitably a wing of gankers will check them methodically and you will need to run.
2. Ground CZ - at some point some retard will show up and when you beat him several times he starts lag switching or network delay to FK up the instance entirely.

This is what we get when Devs put low effort and add pointless PvP to a PvE game and then use the cheapest possible solution of p2p connections.

Story as old as the game really. Frankly I don't see why you're even bothering. What's the reward? Permits to systems I'm sure you forgot you even needed years ago (because you've had them for so long)? Really nothing to stress over. Sirius is going to be part of the Alliance/AX storyline for the next bit regardless of its outcome. Just which wrinkles will be on the shirt to iron out is what's being decided.

I was done with the CG on the day before it started. The bonds I've earned Wednesday still keep me in top 10%. Else you are right, I have nothing to gain from this. But since I was there anyway, I have decided to try again the CG experience in open. Nothing changed, the legs stuff is less risky and more rewarding but still borked by people who abuse p2p.

Oh, CG will be done tonight. Result LYR and Mahon felt flat on their faces.

Interdiction attempts seem to have increased alot lately even though I am not carrying any cargo or have any active missions. And when they succeed, they don't attack. Very annoying.

System Security will pull you over whenever they feel like it. You may just be flying in High security space where the odds of these 'BS interdictions' is increased. Also, systems at war will 'Military Interdict' you (fighting them is illegal as it's not a combat zone) which is an additional reason. If you have any bounties then you're also fair game to be attacked (unlikely as you aren't unless you're getting away before they can get the scan off).

Anyone having an issue in gathering minerals on planets with SRV?
