The only off-center seat that bothers me is the FDL simply because it has the canopy framework right in the way. I barely notice it in the others. The game does not count for internal mass distribution and even if it did, your pilot's off-center mass would be negligible so you don't need to fly it differently.

Funny thing but it looks like starting a fight with a bigger ship and losing gives you more combat xp than winning a bit more even fights. Oh well, probably that's just illusory. Before you try to take out that Phantom or FAS you've usually practised with easier targets.

Turns out i was right on the offset seat position Sight convergence shows effect. Still, will prob give it a go just to see if i can deal.

HeathenChild979OK...up front i will agree, Im NOT good at combat!  I have been smoked by a novice courier while in a decently engineered chieftain (PVE).  So , more practice, but i need to survive long enough to get better.  I have 2 shield tank build options and would like some feedback or recommendations.  Have plenty of credits and materials, and unlocked all the needed eng (good at other things) but hav a 200M credit budget to burn.


Keep MK-II, it is way better than clipper. Change weapons on KRAIT for 3 3C Beams long range 2 oversized and 1 thermal vent; 2 2B Rail guns long range with feedback and super penetrator.

One way to train is going out with a heavy reinforced Cobra equipped with B-class thrusters to get a feel for larger ships in combat. Carry some cargo as well. At least the rebuys are less...

Another cheaper version of the big ship feeling is Viper mk4.

I've been keeping myself at max threat of 3, though have survived high res and compromized beacon (threat 4), barely. Even got a chase and kill once on threat 4. Rebuys on these maybe 7, thus far.

Or try the actual training mode. Believe it or not it is actually a reasonably good tool for learning combat. :3
And no rebuy or extra grinding for materials.

yeah if you find good core mining, there's no benefit in sharing that info out.


i found very much good core mining locations for that and that, so should i share all my experinces and explorations, no. make your own. it´s realy not so hard to find some good locations, o dear.

ps: if you like i can tell you some good locations too, just ask and you get help.. time to sleep now..
