SalmoneaI want interdiction countermeasure device.

That would be nice.

There already is one: point the nose at the escape vector.

Burstar or somethingI'll just clarify, that if you go D grade Sensors AND make them lightweight you'll be effectively blind. D+Longrange is usually the way to go, but A+Lightweight or Longrange has their uses in a couple of niche builds.

Ok , i will keep this in mind as well

Applied level 2 lightweight to my D sensors, before realizing they are not A. I am almost ready to start my trip to Beagle Point with my Aspx.

Am I better to change the engineering to longrange, or buy A sensors and apply Lightweight?
Thanks for advice.

I have lightweight D sensors on my exploration ships and haven't had any problems. They are not ships you would want to take into a fight though.

Edit: (the context of my original quote was regarding combat ships)
For exploration vessels built to maximize jump range D+Lightweight is the exception. For that role this is ideal because it minimizes weight and power draw. IF you get caught in a combat situation being effectively blind will almost certainly not save you if you're in pure exploration build.

;tldr you did not waste anything as it is an exploration ship. Actually, max out your lightweight engineering for this purpose.

Edit: for beginners, the Module Grade categories can be summarized as such:
E - Manufacturers default. Garbage. Standard Weight, Min Performance, Meh Power costs
D - Barebones: Lightweight/Low Power, Low Performance
C - Average Joe: Standard Weight, Mid performance, Mid Power Draw
B - Rugged: Max Weight, Max Integrity, High Performance, High Power Draw
A - Max Mode: Standard Weight, High Integrity, Max Performance, Max Power Draw

Note that the letter Grade only applies to powered ship core/optional modules. Things like Cargo racks, weapons, etc don't follow this convention.

Burstar or something
KurakilDuring one of my relog sessions... I mean material gathering sessions... I had to wait for a 150 sec timer to select a game mode. It has only happened once so far but it does make me a bit nervous. As if things didn't already take long enough.

This was probably because your carrier was mid jump. It tells you the reason in the button texts.

Indeed it does say "The fleet carrier you are currently located at is entering hyper space. Please wait."
I find that interesting since I am on a planet and don't have a fleet carrier. This time it was only for about 90 sec instead of 150.

That is interesting. So one could conclude it's not just 'your carrier' that does this, but any carrier jumping in the system you were in?

There were a few in orbit around the planet I was on so I suppose it could have been any one of those. I'm not sure why that would matter since they are not rendered from that far away, so maybe it triggers a flag that uses that time to update the system map accordingly?

For absolute newbies to space flight, do not expect to keep earning at the same rate if you need to learn something new at the same time. For exploration, one such thing would be escaping unexpected interdictions. Mapping a system waiting to be interdicted, to practice escaping an unexpected one takes a while. I've now managed to surprise myself four times in sn interdiction, and escaped 2 times. Of course there are normal interdictions that you expect, those that are done while flying in populated low/mid-security systems so the total amount of evades is way more. I'll try to be faster in the recommended procedures (there are 3 ways to escape I hear) in the future. Of course I'd need to do this on a proper exploration vessel also, a sidewinder turns way faster and might make escaping easier.

I control throttle only via preset keys, so when I get interdicted by surprise while in the FSS screen, I just hit the 100% throttle button to cancel the auto-submit. Works every time, even in a T-9.

That's possible?? Ok, looks like I've got some keybindings to do. Thanks. Normal gaming might then continue, I'll be using the Sidewinder for a bit still, might name it something else. "The auto-submit can be cancelled , find out how" Ok, that piece of info might have saved 4 days of regular play, installing another game, two days of attempting to build an exploration Sidewinder, and two days of likely unnecessary attempts to escape the highly uneven fights starting with autosubmit. This might make me to want to get better at combat, I pretty much suck at that. Just got to the Novice-level and just assumed the game to send in harder opponents in combat scenarios. Then getting a Master Corvette to an "unavoidable fight" with my somewhat stripped DBX made me nearly rage-quit with the whole game and question the sanity of the developers.

But yes, this is still immersive, people are sometimes complete assholes, so why not the NPCs as well?

If this is about trading bromelite, try planet-side extraction stations in outer system. I remember having to source some and had to look up on both inara and eddb before I found a place that really produces that.

Correction must have been another mineral. Probably have visited some fleet carrier and seen it.
