Permadeath! If I die, I'll clear my save again.

I know of a few madmen like you. You should just make a clone fee- that you have to pay upon death. One billion to the first new player you come across.

Malottheado7 cmndrs I was wondering about the transfer/copy from console to pc. Does this only copy to horizons on pc? Or, can it copy on odyssey. I assumed you had to start a new game on odyssey anyways . I need to be clarified.

The profile copy will come with a free Horizons account for PC. That will have to be installed first before you can upgrade to Odyssey, On installing Horizons your Commander name will need to be re-entered, it does not transfer automatically because it is possible someone will already have that name on the PC servers and it has to be unique. If you are lucky your current Cmdr name may still be unique.
Either way all your Cmdr name (new or old), credits, progress, ranks, fleet, unlocks, permits etc will be available to you and will remain the same on the Odyssey upgrade.

Well, I was joking. Actually I died a few times already in on-foot conflict zones, when I was earning credits for my first ship. But there's no rebuy on suits, so I still have zero insurance claims.

I wouldn't play ED in permadeath mode, it's too grindy. I do like the permadeath mechanics in some survival games though. For example, in Conan Exiles or Rust you have to create respawn points by crafting beds, mattresses or sleeping bags and dropping them on the ground somewhere. When you die, you respawn naked and get exactly one chance to find and loot your corpse before it despawns or gets looted by someone else. Plot twist: Other players can also destroy your respawn points, so you better hide them carefully.

Shitting on someone's bed to grief them: an innovative game mechanics.

Ambering, a special form of griefing.

This might actually be a thing in SCUM, but I never played that game, so idk.

D8veh Another behaviour worth noting is that if your ship has a fighter with fixed weapons (muli-cannons best) and you set your fighter on the target ship and wait for it to land a shot, the target ship will only chase the fighter, leaving you to get easy shots at it's powerplant, and it will not use chaff. This behaviour continues until its hull is down to about 25% to 35%, when it will turn to you.

There is a misperception here. NPC's don't switch agro based on their hull level. They stay locked on their current target for a set amount of time. I've not timed it but it is about 30 seconds. Every time they change target that timer resets.

Lastly, never take any cargo into a resource extraction site or compromised nav beacon unless you have a very strong ship and you want to deal with multiple (up to 12) enemy ships at the same time

Yes, running away is a good option if you can.

Hide under arc or enter building especially if your shield is down as they do mostly kinetic damage AKA highly ineffective vs shield.

Hi there, first post here, hope it is the rigth thread.
I am trying to help this zachary rackham to have the party of his life by delivering some rare luxury goods on beta hydri. I understand that you normaly need a Fed' permit to enter the system, but "galnet says" that permits would be granted for this "event". Yet, i am stuck out of the system with my ship full of the most delicates and expensive food, drinks and drugs you can find across the galaxy so that Monsieur Rackham can throw his fiesta...
Any idea on how to get this pemit?

When I check your profile, you maybe have not "accepted the mission" from any starport in game, have you?

I think I did: I am landed in a station rigth now and the mission board says that I registered to the CG. Is this what you meant?
