Ah, these are bark mounds, my first biological signal. Of course there are dozens of thargoids in the system. I think I will leave these life forms alone, probably snapped a couple of spires off of them when landing. Yet to see a thargoid, but I guess just sitting here is more safe than trading cobalt in the bubble.

On route around Coal Sack, if you need to know. Apparently these are common elswhere as well. Planet specs ~300K, 0,31G , High metal content world.

Are they worth the trouble or would i do better to fit bi-weaves or something else?{

Prismatic shields are providing more shielding than their normal A rated counterparts on the expense of higher mass and power consumption and slower regain rate. They have uses in meta shielding or downgrading shield size , for everything else A, D and bi-weave are probably better.

Right ship menu -> 1st/default tab - Galactic Powers -> Selecting a power -> 2nd tab/Pledge

There's a button labeled "galactic powers" on the internals panel. That's where you can pledge, view your merits and rating etc.

Btw, prismatics and bi-weaves are at opposite ends of a spectrum. So if you want prismatics but can't have them yet, the next best thing would be regular A-rated shields.

For a cutter you only need 6a prismatic shields, booster and point defence. It's a very fast vessel, even if there are several gank attacs, that doesn't matter. Your standard greeting is:"Try it again!"

Speaking of useless modules, today I built a DBX around the pre-engineered 5A FSD that I had previously used in my Python. Considering that it's the only engineered module in the ship, the result isn't half bad:



I'm still pondering the idea of a nomadic lifestyle on a fleet carrier. The DBX would be useful to find tritium sources within the carrier's jump range. The Cutter would do the mining of course, and the carrier's upkeep would be covered by Universal Cartographics and Vista Genomics.

It is in Commander Settings. And I think EDSM has a way to quick clip your photo (makes it the correct dimensions and such). Other than that I think many of the photos on here were snapped with the detachable in-game camera (Ctrl-Alt-Space).

Can someone tell me what happened to Kamitra Cigars... I followed all the forums on how to get them and best i can get is 3 at a time... do I need to wait for the system to go into BOOM ecomomy and how often does that happen?

That sounds very interesting. Almost as interesting as exploring with a sidewinder.
