That is more an EDDN glitch though. I've actually found at least the 8C and 8D in game, and their price was what you'd expect it to be, not 0. I'm looking for the 8A, which I actually want to buy. Seems to only appear in military ground settlements and on outposts, I had no luck so far though, they're ultra rare.



You can buy FSD as large as your ship can fit. Even if you find size 8 you cannot buy it.

In EDO you can "buy and store" any module, even if it doesn't match your current ship.

But since those class 8 FSDs were last seen by the EDDN more than a year ago, I doubt that they're still on sale. If anyone finds them, please post a screenshot.

Mac4How does one farm while AFK?


To farm while AFK, you just take a Type 10, cover it in pulse laser turrets, stack a bunch of massacre missions all targeting the same factions. Go to a low res site where they spawn. Deploy the turrets and walk away. Make sure you have cargo in your ship and an AI SLF pilot. They scan your ship, demand the cargo, since you are not there to give it up, they eventually attack you and all your turrets and AI SLF return fire. You don't even need any engineering to do it. Go to bed, wake up to a bunch of completed massacre missions. Turn them in for the credits. You can find some in depth guides for it on youtube. I recommend Hawkes Gaming and THEblitz117 for their guides on it.

As for why I have 4 carriers, it was more a proof of concept out of boredom thing I pulled off thanks to the long quarantine. It wasn't because I felt the need to grind for it or anything, just wanted to see if I could do it. I got my first fleet carrier on my primary account playing regularly. Later I learned about the AFK method. Met other players who have additional accounts. Got a second account, found out I could run both my primary and alt at the same time. Then thought, "what about a third account?" Turns out my PC is good enough to run 3 instances of ED at the same time. Then I thought, a full wing is 4 players..... so I setup a 4th account on my laptop. As long as they all have a complete stack of "Wing" massacre missions, they can then share them when turning them in. Set them up, go to bed. Come back later to all the missions completed. Turn them all in sharing them with each other. Doing that I was able to average about 1.6 billion credits per account per day. Then decided to just keep going until they all had carriers. Haven't done it since as they all have enough credits to maintain their carriers for a few years. Now I just send the carriers where ever the squadron I'm in needs one. For kicks though, I did once coordinate with the Pilots Trade Network and sent all 4 loaded with wine up to Rackham's Peak and back.

so far i remember there are some low classes enhanced percormance thrusters available at some engineers, and only there. didn´t saw them at jameson´s memorial or elsewhere.. but that was a half year ago

The Enhanced Performance Thrusters. Yes. Those can only be purchased at five different engineer settlements.

Wrong. You can't buy human tech broker stuff at Jameson, yet it exists. I've also upped a screenshot of the 8C FSD I found to the gallery, yet Jameson does not stock it.

Only one FC per account. I have 4 accounts.

NumaI've also upped a screenshot of the 8C FSD I found to the gallery, yet Jameson does not stock it.


Imagine the jump range of an engineered 8A FSD if you could stick it in an Anaconda.......

The Enhanced Performance Thrusters. Yes. Those can only be purchased at five different engineer settlements.

Some class 1 shield generators are also engineer exclusives. For a 1D generator you even have to go to Colonia.

I have a build similar to that. Only issue I had with it was sometimes I'd check up on it and find an enemy ship parked just outside of the lasers 6km firing range and they were spamming hatch breaker limpets. SLF's go after them and prevent that from happening. AI's don't run out of ammo/resources. I had one spam enough hatch breakers to deplete the point defense ammo thus getting access to the cargo and stealing it. Otherwise, if you higher an AI pilot from "harmless" and get them all the way up to "elite" they only take 10%. Considering the billions you make, that 10% really doesn't matter, and having an Elite AI SLF pilot is kind of nice sometimes.

Ah, haha, yes I see. Yeah definitely not my play style (I have a serious thing against grinding. So why play these games at all, one might ask. I often ask it myself!), but, thanks for the answer all the same

Not liking the grind is completely understandable. Personally I think they could have implemented a lot of the games grindy things better. That being said, the nice thing about the AFK thing is you set it up, go to bed or work, etc.... Come back to have a few hundred million credits to play with.

Last night I stumbled upon a fleet carrier named "Frontier Community" owned by "unaccredited astronaut". Is this by any chance the fleet carrier owned by the people who do the streams? I wouldn't know because the stream times are usually too early for me to tune in. I found it in a system near a nebula I can't remember the name of that is blue and relatively near the bubble. I believe it was a system with a white star and there was a bunch of Thargoid signals which topped at 79 signals. If this is the actual fleet carrier of the frontier community twitch streamers, does anyone have information on what they might be doing here?
