I'm orbiting a planet that showed two geological sites. I wanted to visit and see about filling a mat or two a bit. I can find markers for them anywhere on the planet. I scanned it, so I thought they should be there.

Has this changed since I last did some surface scavenging?

yeah thats odyssey style, switch to horizon and all sites are there. odyssey shows no geological sites like horizon does, only the blue hotspot areas (you can switch them at the limpet firing screen).

In odyssey it all the time was blue area wher you must manually hover and look for items. Both geo+bio.

if not already done bind some keys you like for switching, at standard it should be q and e at the firing screen. and yes you have to do the manual way.. in odyssey

Thank you all. Hard to believe I just noticed this. Too busy learning how to walk, I guess.

Yeeh, after so long time in the horizon's ship you need that.

Well that seems like a serious regression. Damn.

cmdrs,

Does the grade of long range engineering increase the jitter of the beam lasers? Let's say one is at GR5 and another is at GR1, and both are hitting the target at 3000 m. Do they have the same jitter effect or GR5 would jitter more? Thank you
23 Aug 2022, 3:52pm
Hm. From the descriptions, it's only the fast-fire modification that increases jitter. (I think?)

But I suspect you may have seen that yourself. I've no direct experience with it, sorry.

If you're talking about gimbal jitter, the long range mod does not increase it, but it's a bigger problem with distant targets anyway. To get the most out of long range, better apply it to fixed weapons.

Is there a system/settlement where you can find alot of players doing ground battles?

Yes, I was talking about the gimbal jitter. Thanks

Today I learned there's a warning broadcast if someone deactivates their system link (aka "report crimes"). Never seen that before.

How does one even do that?
