Not that it should matter if your passenger is "wanted" (by literally anybody anywhere) when you're doing humanitarian operations, but Frontier made it an issue by introducing VIP evacs which apparently had the knock-on effect of turning bulk evacuation contracts (you used to get ones with up to 81 passengers and I'm not sure they had any reputation requirements, or at least being neutral had no effect) into personal-lite where they bother you with messages to get going already, you're being paid (even though with bulk transportation/evacuation, it is not them paying). And your entire ship of refugees will get shot down by idiots just because one of them happened to I don't know, forget they were carrying a power link tool into a station one day and got it flagged during a security scan.

Yes, you're right, it really is very frustrating. But thanks for the tips, I'll try to put them into practice.
And thank you for your help, that really cools me down a lot.
Also extra tip (which may have been a reason why the police attacked you) - verify you are not transporting criminals (the passenger is wanted), they don't like that.
Otherwise you will need some fast and/or "sneaky" ship as Atusia suggested to dock faster than they or the station is able to scan you.
Ya, I think that was the problem with the police, one criminal in a big group of refugees; but - as in real live - : reasonable proportionality has never been their strong point

Ralph Thum...
For start, can you post a EDSY link to your ship loadout?
After you pick up the passengers, and on your way off the platform, you see the "wanted" or was it "illegal" something like that on the left corner of the screen, you need to leave the station fast. They will scan you after few moments outside of the gate. You better be doing 300+ by that time.
The moment you get out of the gate, accelerate the F out of there. I did fail once (I was AFK... LOL) and got attacked by the cops. They will kill everyone to catch one criminal that was sitting in their own station the whole time. No idea how FDevs come up with something as idiotic as this but never mind that for now.
Make sure you do not hit anyone or it gets uglier - fees, bounty etc.
- You have no weapons so pips 3-3-0 or 2-4-0
- ECM (Electroni counter measure, install 2, if you want) should be bound to a key, not firegroup. Easier/faster to use.
- Heatsink - same as above - install 2, if you can
- Get interdicted (or is it called hyperdictecd)... relax, speed 0
- Release heatsink and hit boost the moment you can control your boat again.
- Look at the HUD, white triangles show up (Thargopid limpets or missiles) and start to get close, hit your ECM (no need to hold it to max)
- keep hitting that boost
- ECM if needed
- FSD is up... jump.
Edit. One more thing. Because basic laws of physics are fudged in some part of this game, turn off FA (flight assist) after you boost. It helps you keep the top speed a bit longer.

You cant verify that while loading passengers. You will find that out the moment you are ready to go and lift off in the station.
Some say that all 7-8 danger level groups are with wanted. It's irrelevant really, because you can easily escape if you do not wait for the scan when exiting the station.
