Never used them myself though, or been shot by them, so I can't be completely sure.

Vasil VasilescuThinder The fix is simple enough: Point Defence Turrets treats the projectile like missiles and destroy them before they can cause damages, mount two on top of your haulers, you'll know when they are fired and will have time to maneuver to open the angle for the turrets.
I have a few in store but don't need to use them, there aren't any in CZs.
I'm confused. Are you saying PD is effective against flechette? I beleive PD is only effective against missiles, torpedoes, mines, and limpets and does not defend against direct-fire weapons like incoming cannon, frag, and plasma rounds.
The Flechette is a projectile like a missile until it dislocate, the turret treats the projectile like a missile and destroys it.
I saw a video some time ago, here is a second one.

Vasil VasilescuSubtle new addition for PP2.0 (or maybe I never noticed it before) but in the hangar lobby of the main starport, there are portraits of the leader for the faction controlling or exploiting a system.
Yes, it’s a new addition for PP2.0 (and I would not call it subtle, but then I have a good eye for this kind of detail).
For a subtler addition, note the graffiti on hangar lobby walls
@Rawnu: None of your recent EDSY links work.

Apparently “Salvation [O]Lives” has also returned with this patch. Left to guess whether intentionally so or because they made their lives easier reusing the old graffiti code. Both are likely when the Nemesis plot thread is dangling open-ended, but Frontier also like to reuse old assets in some more or less creative ways.

I am not engaging in the power play, but it might have been kind of neat to have PP missions where you do low level things like add or remove graffiti, sort of like temporary decals. You may not be able to engage in combat, but you could go spray paint "Now is the Winter of our discontent" in Fed stations controlled by president.

You can hack the holo-adverts of a station to display your own power instead of an opposing one (as I’ve seen). It’s not exactly the same but sort of along that line of thinking.

1 to 2 days to gain 1% is slow but I might be able to rank Elite 1 in January, I get a taste for CZ Combat, I park my Carrier in the systems and do as many sorties as I can in one day.
The most efficient ship in my fleet is still the Corvette, Combat persistence (Shields) and weapon output, combined with a good maneuverability for a ship of her size, let me keep on target with a fixed beam laser, taking down the target shield before using my multi-cannons.
I wish there was a "target next attacking ship" order for the pilot, because quite often I got targeted by multiple ships and have to watch my shield levels closely and I have no clue what she does when I order "Defend" instead of "attack my target", this is where the Krait Mk II have a hard time...

By the way, is there any actual reliable way to route this far and have carriers in between with repair facilities?

Valorian AxtenI'm just chiming in to brag about my first Traveller rank! I'm en route to Colonia, and halfway there. Without any means of repair I'm going the slow FSD route, 40LY at a time, great surveying opps though!

Just in case, https://edastro.com/galmap/?layer=regions&pins=DSSAcarriers
and plotting jumps https://www.spansh.co.uk/exact-plotter

Actually, you should always take an AFMU and repair controller with you on such a long trip. Here is a link that may help you.

Wild! I've never heard of edastro! I've used Spansh, but it's weirdly inaccurate somehow. I'm using the New Plotter which has all the caveat lector, but even so, the in-game Galaxy Map router saved me a ton of hops after swapping back to it. (After giving up on neutron star jumps.)

The Colonia bridge was made exactly for that.

Good stuff! When in Colonia, give yourself some time there and unlock all the engineers. You can then pick and choose which blueprint to pin (some are only available in Colonia eg. grade 5 engineering of life support). It enables you to maximize engineering blueprints back home in the bubble later. There's also a ton of fantastic stellar phenomena nearby. Ah, the memories this brings back! Enjoy!
