ThinderHow do you get to Sol without all your weapons being disabled, not to mention instable systems?Titan presence in the system melts all Guardian stuff (weapons and other modules) unless they're protected by the engineering done by Ram Tah, or made already protected, such as the Torpedo Pylon. So re-equip your ship excluding unprotected Guardian stuff. And, about the glitchy HUD... We just press on. Nothing you could do with that.
As soon as I get there if I haven't been interdicted and took damage, the HUD becomes unreadable...

Kasumi Goto The CG itself only requires a basic minimun contribution. One hit on the core would be enough.
Ouch. That's unfortunate. That means any other AX activities -- as best as a person is able -- won't count. I'll get mine, but bummer for people who are just getting started and see a valuable incentive.
To that point....
ThinderI've had it... I tried 4 times to get to Sol and I end up with disabled weapons and multiple malfunctions, impossible to engage, I have no idea why, plus I'm interdicted time and time again.
So I'm going to kill Thargos elsewhere.
Thinder, your Guardian modules/weapons will need have "Anti-Guardian Zone Resistance" if you're trying to get to the Titan with them.
That's also what happened when you tried to get to Sol previously and all of your Guardian stuff went red.
Then again, perhaps I'm mistaken and you have all human tech on your ship, have already added the resistance, and/or it's something else. (Someone else step in and correct me if I'm wrong.)

What would be a basic entry-level pew-the-titan build for a new player?
Let's aim for hardly any engineering at all. Just something someone could throw together if they read our posts and want to get into Sol for the Community Goal.
(If you can't tell, I'm quite happy they added a Community Goal. I wish the bar was a little lower for the general playerbase, but it's also a really really good reward, IMO.)

Thanks Meowers... I was starting to suspect that was the case.

AXI have something of a basic minimally engineered Krait MKII build present on their website, with a disclaimer that it's intended as a stepping stone. I can't vouch for its qualities but it looks a bit fragile for my tastes. Even less hull than a fully engineered FDL and no one ever accused it of being particularly tanky.
The build
I guess you could apply the same principles to a Vulture or what have you, but going into Thargoid content completely unengineered is generally a bit dodgy because it is at least or appears to be somewhat built on the premise of having a, at the very least, partially engineered ship.

For the Titan only, get enhanced AX missiles. They have the biggest oomph against a Titan's exposed thermal core. And if you want to try to shoot the vents, buy a nanite torpedo pylon, one is enough. All of this you get at a rescue ship, no need to unlock anything.
For Titan AND regular AX stuff in Sol, I'd take enhanced AXMCs. They are well enough for Scouts and Cyclopses, and with assistance also against Basilisk and Medusas. Plus they also do neat damage against the thermal core.
Personally, I currently fly an all enhanced AXMC Python Mk2 (the pre-engineered ones from the ShinDez CG) and it really shreds nicely.

That's a decent starter Titan build, honestly. Looks like only the Power Plant, Thrusters, FSD, and Sensors are engineered. Someone new could definitely scrounge for those (or go without, if not worrying about rebuy). I recommend at least engineering the Power Plant so as to keep the heat low.

Nanite Torps do not require the Anti-Guardian Zone Resistance.
Other Guardian modules/weapons might, so don't bring any along unless you're sure they're safe.
Also, "rescue ship" such as Rescue Ship Hutner in Luyten’s Star and Rescue Ship Cornwallis in V886 Centauri

Endorsing this suggestion, in general. Adding that, for new players, going enhanced AXMC works well for getting in and just getting to the action.
As far as the Community Goal, however, it seems that getting damage on the Titan itself will need to be the focus.

Is it just me or is Cocijo a bit more prone to core damage than the others? Made 3 mils. worth of damage in one run using just 4x enhanced AX MCs. Before I just got that when the Titans where down to 3 .. 2 hearts.

So are the Guardian GUARDIAN HULL REINFORCEMENT, plus they are a little anti-corrosive too.
I tought it would be a good idea to prep the Python MK II for the final assault, only when I started to collect materials from the Titan I realized I needed 3 Corrosion Resistant Cargo Rack and it's an expensive rat race to get them...
>>>>>>
Geeeeeezus... That's new. Now that I have transfered the material to the Carrier, I can't recover them, retransfer to the ship for unlocking the Corrosion Resistant Cargo Racks.
Writing a ticket, I don't think I'm gonna be ready for the last chapter of the Thargoid invasion any time soon...

yes, i make a lot of money with em. They're best for titan stuff. Four 3c shard cannons on python mk2 makes good profit
With premium synths u can earn 32 million per run
They overheat your ship quickly though, but then again I had 3l and 2m shards, bit too greedy
The enhanced AX missiles do a similar trick with much less heat, so maybe I switch back to them. And money is not so much an issue, got my decal anyway, so that s that.

As far as I know… it doesn’t have particular significance to lore. It’s just the one other modification which provides additional jump range, so their range is better than a default A rated which gets engineered.
Fast boot also affects reboot times I guess but from my experience taking the Thargoid FSD reboot missiles, does not actually affect the time it takes to cycle when hit by those. Or still takes an awfully long time, anyway.
Frontier probably might also need to up Titan hitpoints again to stop it blowing up before the weekend has a chance to get started proper. Despite getting pushed to 2 billion it/the CG - which seems to use Titan HP as progress - is still predicted to go on early Saturday morning (by local times, anyway).
Hm, I was just wondering if the reduced reboot time would hint at more Thargoid stuff after this ... weekend? Re Cocijo: DCoH estimates 3 days plus or am I reading their website wrong?
what makes u think they overheat? Only modded shards do that. The normal shards do not and beam laser w thermal vent keeps cold all time.

This holds also true for any AX combat in Sol, the Hydra sextet is real.

RawnuNew Cobra Mk5 is now on EDSY and she is pretty impressive! Here's a quick Exobio build with 62 LY jump range. It also makes for a great Odyssey taxi (on-foot missions), with the potential for power play as well. And it might also be a fun small assassination ship, if you got the skills for it.
I'm happy I contributed (as usual) to the development effort by buying my Pre-Biuld MK V but they managed to make a right mess of it with those wings, Coyote Ugly.
If they do the same with the Standard variant, I'll pass and sell this one...
>>>>>>
So I'm back at Synuefe EU-Q c21-10, I need yet another Guardian Weapon Blueprint Fragment and a few dozen of other goodies. I might just as well keep farming since I can't purchase those Corrosion Resistant Cargo Rack since the game decided to stock all the commodities needed to unlock them and refuse to let me transfer them back to the ship. Awaiting Support answer to my ticket.
