ThinderTG Pulse Neutralizer. doesn't work, I fire it before the wave reaches me but it stun my ship and throw me way back

Yeah, the timing is tricky.

Thinderalso Titan's distance and position reading are all over the place.

Don't worry about the indicator, as was mentioned in this thread before. Just fly for the center (where the pulses come from). You'll start out pointing the correct way, just fly that direction and ignore the indicator. (I'll update my steps to mention this.)

Lunch break, and I'll try again.

Rayman.Anyone tried enforcer cannons? The one from Pranav Antal. i have plans to try on cobra mk V but i may just end up going full frags or plasma accs with railguns.

Any opinion about that Pranav Antal's weapon and which modifications go for?

Enforcer Cannon only comes in size 1 and are solid weapons. Have six Enforcer Cannon. All six are overcharged. Three with automatic loading and three multiservos. The advantage is that it does more damage than normal multicannons. Data: Damage per second: 21.7 /s for multiservos and 21.1 /s for autoloading, damage 4.8s, rate of fire for multiservos 4.5s and 4.3 autoloading, firing speed 1800m/s, maximum range 4500m, damage drop 3000m. The disadvantage is that they only have a 60 round magazine in their original state. With Overcharged G5 there are only 51 rounds left in the magazine. Aiming with the Enforcer Cannon requires practice as they are fixed weapons. They're really fun, but you'll quickly run out of ammunition. I would advise against rapid fire.

ThinderTicket reply never reached me in my email.

Ah, so you wrote a customer support ticket? Let us know if they eventually respond to it, pretty please.

ThinderWhen I was farming materials near a dead titan, my systems were affected one after the other, that's why I felt I needed Anti-Corrosion Racks, I wasn't anywhere near a live Titan.

You must have scooped up some corrosive cargo (there’s plenty of it there). If you scoop only materials & bio-storage pods & meta-alloys you don’t need the anti-corrosion racks.

Sampi OgonekOnly if I were inclined to do some xeno-fighting in Sol right now would I perhaps use the gausses again.

You can't. Only the 3C can be engineered.

Nonsense. You can add the AGZR blueprint to Guardian weapons of any size, just not the Azimuth pre-engineered ones. (The regular ones have to be unlocked separately and bought for credits, though.) And unlike Azimuth pre-engineered shards & plasmas, their Gauss cannons are not worth the materials.

RawnuI would leave the shields behind, they only create heat and are of no use around a Titan

I politely disagree. Shields can soak up considerable amounts of damage when you have bad luck and get attacked. And with the Titan becoming increasingly aggressive with every lost heart, you’re bound to get attacked rather sooner than later.

Of course, the only shields one should take to a Titan are those with ELP blueprint and Lo-Draw effect. I prefer the bi-weaves so I do not have to wait for them to regenerate.

The rest of the advice was solid, except…
RawnuOnce you see the asteroid field, you're in the clear and you notice that the caustic sinks will no longer fill up.

Nope, you’re in the clear only when you’re close to the asteroids.

Also, an extra tip: The outer parts of the asteroid field surrounding the Titan are a very safe place. Thargoid patrols don’t go there, and if you get attacked, they will not follow you that far. In fact you can go AFK there (although I would not do that in Open).

MeowersAn old pic with a strategy of mine which helps to hit more vents with the torpedoes. With that, I'm able to get all 8 per run consistently (80%+ runs), having around 545 boost speed. The orange line is the 'obvious' trajectory, heading from vent to vent straight line, and the green one is the path I choose, staying closer to the centre and decreasing the radius, thus the distance I need to cover. More hits per less distance. Requires some lateral thrusters usage and trajectory adjusting of course, that general skill of flying your ship not where the nose is pointed at, but one can get used to it rather quickly, I guess.

I had this idea, too, and tried it, but concluded it is not viable with FA On (because the damn game will not let you keep the full speed when going laterally), and unfortunately flying with FA Off is the opposite of fun for me.

5 Interceptions, unable to reach the Titan but still contributed to its meltdown?!?

a few seconds left and I would have lost my ship.

Don’t forget to put 4 pips to SYS before firing — it drains the SYS capacitor considerably faster than the good old Shutdown Field Neutraliser, and you have to keep it charged until the wave reaches you.

It’s easiest if there are other CMDRs in the instance attacking the Titan, because then you can see their beam lasers through the cloud (most seasoned folks use thermal vents to keep their ships cool).

You get 14,000 credits for just being there each time the core does its emergency venting thing (which means there must have been others in the instance doing the attack).

Did you also get a contribution toward the CG?

As I said You can't, you were mentioning ModShards.
Note that although the included modifications can be removed, Engineers cannot re-apply them or apply any other modifications to these modules.

You can do that with the Guardian Gauss Cannon, that would be the 1 D and 2B but not the Modified Gauss Cannon.

They are far superior to the standard Shard Cannon even a class under (2 vs 3) and the only ones worth having, I have unlocked and compared them both.

Dispersion (Jitter) is way too high to put enough rounds on target unless it fills your windscreen which is not what you want when fighting Thargoids, with the 2A, you can pick the hearts and destroy them from 1500 M very quickly.

I don't know at this point I was considering my options, I ran out of 0I CAUSTIC SINK LAUNCHER, and things went downhill from there, I lost my windscreen and FSD, I had to crawl at normal speed using repair limpets and reboot/repair until it was online again, I had less than 50 seconds left of oxygen when I hit the pad.
