ThedayofI couldn't get through the corrosive cloud that surrounded the Titan, and every time I would get pushed out by the emp.I carry a Thargoid Pulse Neutraliser and when I see a blue light in the direction of the titan is to press the bound fire button, however it doesn't work.I've wasted hours not even seeing the titan, I'm hoping for help (especially on the point of how to avoid getting pushed out by emp)

Once you hear the Titan "charging" put all pips to SYS.
Once the blue wave starts emanating, take a breath before pressing AND HOLDING your keybind for the pulse wave neutralizer. The wave takes a moment to reach you.
Keep the keybind pressed, it's not toggle, you NEED TO KEEP IT PRESSED.
Your ship will shake and vibrate and heat will go up but you should not be thrown around or pushed back.
After the wave, pop a heat sink and boost, boost boost towards the red cloud. BUT: avoid the star shaped mines, the will wreck you.

Important: don't follow the HUD sign for the Titan, look for the red clouds and keep them ahead. If you're in open or a large PG, you will see beam lasers in the distance.

We have exactly the same problem. I'm doing it by the book, it doesn't work 8 times out of 10, and it's wasted time in the caustic cloud which caused me to lose several ships.

I might have tried a dozen times only ONCE did I manage to get to the Asteroid field, engage and destroy some turrets on the Titan, supporting other ships, my HP was too low already and my ship was lost (again).

Seriously this isn't my idea of fun, the first part was, but it didn't last, now with this caustic thing my best ships cannot use their weapons...

Before I figured out the timing I was always too early. Rawnus description is spot on for me - take a deep breath. The scream of the Titan is already fading. Only then push and hold the key.

I do have to say though that I do not boost at that stage. Timing might be a bit different when you dash towards the wave.

yeah last titan is going down quicker now since they reduced hp. Lets see if we get zombie humans to shoot at. My odyssey gears been waiting for years.

Where would be a good spot for the light show when the Titan goes *pop*?

I'm already parked in the Maelstrom, as I had been doing multiple bombing runs over the weekend. Should I stay there or get out ASAP?

the titan will go yellow and push you back. Then u will see big boom. Be near to titan during meltdown to experience the show.

Only experienced that two times.

Is there a specific time (as in, "time of day UTC") that it occurs? Or would I just have to be logged in and waiting?

Yes they willl announce when exactly last heart goes down and entering meltdown state. The meltdown state will take 24h. After that the titan goes boom

24 hours after last heart destruction, but I would be prepared for the eventuality that this meltdown might go a little differently to the others, because of it being the last (known?) Titan and whatnot.

Also, just in case, make sure you log in before the Titan explodes. Otherwise you might find yourself in an extremely caustic soup that will fill up one of the sinks almost instantly. And while you can survive it, that requires either lots of caustic sinks or torturing your modules with 240%+ heat.

DiQueue6 utility mounts are an asset too. Plenty of room to fit sinks for crossing the caustic zone.
And for going double-sink on attack runs, to have pips set at 0-4-2 for MORE SPEED and BOOST AND SHRED.

Adam 'The detective' ŠtefánikProblem of FDL is small internal space so you cant fit so much hrps

What's wrong with having 1700 hull when you can evade so much incoming stuff?
Yeah, it gets risky, but rewarding. At least emotionally, in terms of 'this thing is super fun to fly".

I like to have safety tire of fat around me. Also hardpoints of FDL are all wrong for me. Huge one is almost useless-almost nothing to fit there. In normal life also useless-no cargo, hardpoints still are issue (I like to use my Pythy 2 with 4 modchargers, corrosive mc and scrambler pulse laser). I tried it tho but I was not satisfied with it. Everybody has different tastes, they say

I think that I can see your problem-if you havent changed power plant, then that can be issue-its integrity is just 75% from unengineered. Also could you update your inara profil so I can see exact loadout? And when I am fine with two caustic sinks, you should be too as you can have 3 or 4

Yeah, finally some naughty talk!

UNLEASH PURE CHAOS
COME ON YOU ALIEN SCHMUCKS TRY ME

I solved that by being fat myself.

Though, with the station defence scenarios, I liked to go with the 'heavy' config rather than the 'sustainable' one, replacing the repair stuff with HRPs so it's like 3.1k total which is more than enough even if I decide to get real aggressive real fast, triggering Hydras' lightnings deliberately or just plain slugging it out. Of course any open-space encounters and space AXCZs require more refined manoeuvring, where I have those 1.7k hull but am able to repair myself.

Why haven't I used that earlier, knowing I don't really have to carry limpets in case a station is nearby? Call it an odd quirk, lol, but I really like that 'survive everything' sustainable build even if it has less hull points in total.

I found that the Python MkII is an excellent ship for approaching the Titan. I have mine engineered to be cold running and fast, and I traverse the caustic fog taking no damage at all, with 4 pips on engines and dropping a caustic acid container whenever one fills up, never boosting until I start the bombing run on the Titan.

I'm using one class 2 beam engineered for thermal vent (as soon as I fire the first torpedo), the nanite torpedo pylon of course, and four class 3 fixed advanced ax missile racks for shooting at the core.

I don't use any heatsinks but have one installed for interdictions, three of those caustic acid sinks, the advanced scanner, and the anti Titan pulse thing.
