Elite roleplay: Off station

OFF STATION

Your ship, deep space, anything that is not happening inside the Citi Gateway or Ingaba...

General Roleplay Etiquette:

1. Control only the actions of your own character(s). (AKA: God Mode)
This doesn't matter how small the action is, even if it is as simple as scratching their nose or a direct reaction to something else that just happened. This applies to everything from casual conversation to full blown fight scenes. If you'd like someone to do something specific, PM that person, however keep in mind they are completely within their rights to say no. Especially if said action is inappropriate to their character and/or circumstance.

2. Don't brute force your way into another persons RP.
Approaching with a conversation starter is fine, or indeed some other small action. However charging in, guns blazing and disrupting the flow of another person/pair/groups conversation/arc is about as rude as doing so in real life. If something is going on that you'd like to participate in, be subtle about it. Put out a gentle hook for someone to take, but again, be aware that said hook may not be taken. If you fear it was simply unnoticed, PM the person or people it concerns. Or even leave a message in the OOC forums.

3. Good grammar and spelling is preferred.
We're not asking you to be perfect, but please at least demonstrate willingness. no1 iz gna tak u srsly usng txt spk. There's a wide variety of people here, many who speak English as a second, or even third language. There are even some with varying degrees of dyslexia and/or likely other issues that affect spelling/grammar. We accept them all here. However, people who aren't accepted, are those unwilling to accept polite correction. Remember that even a small thing like the placement of a comma, or the wrong use of there/their/they're can completely change the definition of an entire sentence.

4. Accept constructive criticism gracefully and politely.
If someone spots an issue with your writings, they may wish to help you improve that writing. They may do this through PM or even publicly air their thoughts on the OOC forum. If they have taken the time to be polite and explain what is wrong with your writing, the best way to behave is to respond in kind, using the same manner they have approached you with. It means they have taken an active interest in what you have written and wish to see more. Basically, you have a fan!

5. Don't take the actions or opinions of things done IN RP, to be directly relevant to the writers thoughts or opinions.
Basically, if some ones character calls your character a jackass, it doesn't mean the writer thinks you are a jackass. It's a ROLE they are PLAYING. Watch a movie. The argument between the characters isn't an argument between the actors involved. The same applies here.

6. It's not a popularity contest.
Your RP might be bustling with participants. You have 3 people off station in a fire fight, while another 2 are infiltrating the darkest areas of the station, meanwhile a group of 4 others are tracking your movements in an effort to stop you. Good for you, I'm sure it will be a thrilling read! But you know what? Sometimes the absolute BEST work, comes from two RP characters having a simple heart to heart. Both are valid, both are great, but NEITHER is categorically better than the other. Period.

Inara RP Etiquette:

1. Respect the setting and rules of the universe.
Inara is an Elite: Dangerous 3rd Party Tool. The RP Forums are set in the Elite: Dangerous universe. Elite: Dangerous has rules, as any fictional universe does from Lord of the Rings to Star Wars, or Game of Thrones to Star Trek. If you intend to RP within the Elite: Dangerous universe you are bound by the history and rules of that universe. Simply put, this RP forum is bound by the same rules as the game, so if it can't be done in the game, it is not permitted here. This applies to things from a 50Ly Jump Range on a normal, unmodified Sidewinder, to the destruction of entire stations.

2. Respect the characters created by others.
We have a wide variety of characters already here. It's expected that some will be similar, just as it's expected that two characters will be vastly different. Opinions of each persons character will naturally be varied, but all are valid provided they follow the rules of the universe. You are allowed to interact with, or avoid interaction with, any character in the RP forums. But you have no right to belittle others for their creation. You are not an authority figure on writing, nor are you directly affected by another persons imagination. You might not like it, but you MUST respect it.

3. Be caught up on current events before joining in.
You need basic things like character descriptions in order to interact with them. You also need to know what's going on in the surrounding areas. This is simply because the people you are hoping to RP with, might be gearing up to something that you might not want to be part of. Or simply that the most recent post, out of context, could leave a different impression on the goings on than if you gather that context. We don't expect you to read every single post from the beginning of the forums, just enough to get that basic understanding.

4. Either subscribe to, or frequently check, the Roleplay: Q&A and OOC forum.
People may be discussing something relevant to you there, or even discussing you directly. Perhaps someone asked what the general consensus on the existence or non-existence of a certain object. Or we're just chatting about random gibberish. Either way, be aware of it and use it. If you're unsure about something, such as how guns would look and or behave, or even the music selection, use the OOC forum to ask. We don't have all of the answers, but the collective knowledge and logic usually allows us to overcome an issue and come to a decision on what should be allowed. Frontier Developments, and even David Braben himself, don't have the answers to every possible question that can be asked.

5. Large Scale events exploding out of nowhere are a complete no go.
We get it. Everyone wants their character to be noticed and for people to be tripping over themselves to interact with them. In some audiences, an introduction involving you blasting in for landing in a fiery wreckage of a ship, before cart wheeling out and sword fighting 35 Ninjas before whisking off with the local celebrity for a glorious night of passion, is in fact, cool. This is not one of those audiences. It is generally considered better to build your character up slowly over time. Eventually, you might even have a legitimate excuse to fight those Ninjas. Maybe even with other RP participants by your side.

6. Perfect characters are boring.
The point of a character arc, is that it is in fact, an arc shape. One who is morally unquestionable, fully kitted out and an infinite fountain of knowledge, cannot go through an arc. Give your character flaws. Be it a tendency towards befriending the wrong people, or a bad knee that frequently gives out at inopportune moments. It gives readers something to latch onto and empathise with. You can give your character exceptional capabilities at something, but it requires balance. She's a damn good pilot with no equal, but can't drive an SRV for peanuts. It can lead to some very interesting moments between characters, be it heartfelt or comedic.

Other Notes:
It should be noted that there can be exceptions to these points. For example, good grammar when a character is speaking is actually rare. Few people in real life actually speak with perfect eloquence after all. Or previously arranged actions during a fight scene, such as someone stumbling back after a punch. What's key to remember is context.

All in all, remember this is purely for fun. We have some seriously talented writers here, and others whose writing history starts and ends at high school. But many are willing to help out in whatever way they can. All it takes is that you ask nicely.

Also keep in mind that many people who RP here, also have logbook stories related to the character, or characters, they portray. If it looks like there's an "in joke" going on that you're unsure of, it's probably in those.

In fact, some users have even gone to the trouble of creating "alts" to RP with. If you read back far enough, it's usually pretty clear who has and hasn't, and which ones are the "alts". It's therefore not unheard of to see the apparent seizing of control of other characters. If you do spot one, point it out in the OOC section. If intervention is needed, it will be sorted quickly and (hopefully) politely.

Most, if not all RP participants here have Logbook stories pertaining to their character(s). These are for the reading pleasure of anyone who wishes to do so. While it can be useful to read them in order to gain a bit of backstory on a character you wish to interact with, it should not be assumed that your character shares that knowledge. Within the E:D Universe, these Logbooks either don't exist, or are private diaries kept by the characters. Either way, without explicit statements to say otherwise from the writer, your interactions should reflect that your character is in the dark about any information you, the writer/reader, have gained from reading the stories.

Bryan noticed the blip the same time Leif did, he began working to identify it almost immediately. "Single Contact on scanners,...looks like an Anaconda,"  the Anaconda had appeared behind the Moto Meli in roughly the same place they had dropped into the system. The Anaconda began to orientate itself and began to follow a similar path to the Moto Meli. If Bryan couldn't tell if they were following them or not, the direction the Conda was flying was in their direction but a few degrees off course, Bryan wondered if they intentionally plotted an off target intercept course to keep suspicions low while they closed the gap.

"Uncertain of any hostile intentions. I'd have to make contact or flip us around for a scan to be certain."
Bryan's Uneasy feeling was growing the more the Conda closed the gap. Any second now it would be within interdiction range. "I'm not sure if they're following us or not, they might just be passing us by but they're passing by rather close"
The Conda entered interdiction range...but still continued on its course. "Huh, Maybe they are just passing by"

Bryan had hardly finished the sentence when the Anaconda Pulled an impossible turn to face them and the interdiction escape vector appeared on the screen.

"NOPE. They're definitely here for us!!" Bryan said suddenly contradicting his previous statement. The ship buffeted and rocked from the tethering of the Anaconda's interdictor trying to rip them out of supercruise. The Anaconda had started the interdiction 90 degrees to the Moto Meli's right. The ship must have been equipped with two interdictor modules one with a wide angle and one with a range modification on them, which resulted in a rather nasty interdiction lock.
06 Jul 2017, 7:28pm
"Fuck," Leif exclaimed in the same moment he pulled hard on the stick, turning the Beluga to avoid the interdiction.

The red bar rose high on the right side, leaving only a whim of blue on the left just as the ship's heading matched with the escape vector.

"Check their signature, see what they got," he pressed through his teeth, "this is tough. But know what? I know tricks."

Through the moaning and creaking of the hull again the FSD howled up as Leif fought hard to keep the interdiction from happening.
07 Jul 2017, 8:18pm
Bryan checked the Conda's signature as instructed. It took a few tries because every time he reached to select a button the ship would rock sideways and throw him off. he managed to get it on his third attempt. Now that he had gotten it he took the opportunity to look at the escape vector, it didn't look good. He looked back at the info panel beside him.

The Vengeful Serpent...really?...how edgy...He thought after seeing the ship name. Bryan would've marvelled at how calm he was keeping in the situation, but admittedly he was disappointed by how stock the Conda's ship name was.

He pushed the disappointing name aside, this wasn't the time for it, of course panicking wouldn't help, but focusing on the name wasn't going to achieve anything . next he focused on the ships modules, Bryan found it hard to count the weapons with the tumbling of the Beluga, what he did manage to make out was that they were big guns,

and lots of them,

Bryan couldn't make out how many shields the ship had exactly but he did manage to spot a shield cell bank, so the Vengeful Serpent's shields would definitely outlast the Moto Meli's, Belugas weren't known for their shields.

"Uh, this guy looks more like a shoot first talk later kinda guy, How's that escape coming"
07 Jul 2017, 8:46pm
"I'm not gonna win this, only escape."

Leif ripped the stick left and right as the tunnel turned around the ship.

"Ready to engage" sounded the announcement on the HUD.

"C'mon, girl, we can make it!" Leif mumbled.

The Beluga moaned as it swayed towards the jump vector, passed close by it and circled around.
Finally Leif managed to get them matched. With a loud bang the interdiction tether ripped and they were launched forward into hyperspace.

"We did it!" he exclaimed, let go of the stick and hit on the console in joy.
08 Jul 2017, 11:50pm
"I dunno about we, all I did was look at its sig," Bryan said looking across at Leif who in turn looked back.

"I meant me and my ship," he said with the left corner of his mouth cracking a smile. He turned towards Bryan, "So what've they got?"

"Well, It was hard to see..." Bryan replied cautiously.

"What do you mean it was hard to see," Leif asked annoyed, his bright expression fading rapidly.

"Well it wasn't the smoothest of flights was it?" Bryan retorted sarcastically.
Well done idiot you've hardly known your employer for 4 hours and you've already insulted his piloting.

"Escaping an interdiction is never a smooth ride. Especially not when escaping this way."
Leif turned back to his controls just as a jolt went through the ship, indicating that the jump is about to end.

There was a long pause while Bryan pondered answering. The Beluga ground to a halt in the next system and Leif automatically steered away from the star.
"Uhh... I got the name at least," Bryan stuttered, "and they got lots of weapons and I saw also an SCB, I think."
09 Jul 2017, 12:48am
Leif sighed. Just as he looked back on the radar, again a signature popped up.

"We're not gonna outgun them and neither outrun them, it seems." He looked back up at the target reticule indicating the next system. "Is that the last one before Sol?" he asked.

"Let me look..." Bryan answered and hastily called up the route, pressing wrong buttons twice, "umm, yeah. Yes, it is."

Leif didn't care to respond, he just hit the switch to spool the FSD once again.

"You said you liked tinkering around?" Leif asked with a raised voice as the hyperspace engulfed them.

Unsure of Leif's intentions, Bryan slightly nodded, throwing a look of disbelief back at him. "And you brought your toolbox?" - "Uh huh," he now responded uncertainly.

"Grab it and get to the FSD. See if you can make it ingest double the fuel on one jump. Saud Kruger ships usually have modules that are capable of more, but have safety switches that would only allow using a part of their full potential. See if you can disengage them," he explained his plan, "meanwhile I'll try to lead them onto the wrong path."

The pirate turned spat on the ground and grabbed Luke by the collar of his Rimlock. Quickly he brought his knee into the young man's groin. "Sometimes." he hissed.

"Enough!" The woman yelled through the mist and the surly pirate let go of Luke's collar, and allowing him to get on with his pain.

The male prodded Mhera in the back with a blaster and she took a step forward. The station's corridors were poorly lit, and in much need of maintenance. It appeared that the pirates didn't care much keeping the place up. Surly individuals meandered about in some sort of public square. There were individuals rolling dice and yelling over their casted lots. A makeshift bar had been erected, with a few holo-displays playing CQC matches.

They rounded a corner and headed through a set of mag-sealed doors to what looked like a processing center. The pirate pushed Mhera roughly into a counter and spoke. "Process this one as companion." Then with a twisted smile and a glint of malice in his eye, "And the male, put him in the games."

As the knee connected with him, Luke let out a grunt of pain and doubled over. He wasn't given a chance to recuperate before quickly being shoved down the corridor. The pain spreading to his stomach wasn't helped by the beathlessness that came with the attack.

Upon entering the processing area, he couldn't really look around due to his eyes watering. But he could hear fine.

*Companion?* He wanted to step in again and plead with them to let her go, but the next part caught his ear more so.

*Games? What games?* The pain in his midriff was blocked out, his heart started racing and he was sure his face became flushed. He reckoned he knew just what 'games' implied, but still couldn't help but ask.

"Wh... What games?" He sputtered.

Bryan leapt out of the Co-Pilots seat with a "Yes boss." He clicked his heels to turn on his mag boots, span round and headed for the door. The Conda was closing in fast. Bryan reached his stuff and began to dig out the lockbox which he had buried beneath his belongings earlier. The pile of belongings was starting to work its way out of the alcove with all the shaking and tumbling of the Beluga.

The Conda must've caught up with them because that same shaking returned. A huge lurch sent Bryan crashing into the wall to his left, his feet were still connected to the floor because of the mag boots, but the rest of his body fell against the wall in an awkward slump. He pushed against the wall with his free hand while his other hand cradled the lockbox in his left. Bryan lifted himself just enough to regain his balance. He would've sprinted down the corridor but, the ship was too restless to allow for that, instead he took off at what was an awkward hurried waddle.

Bryan was just passing a hologram projector, that calmly cycled through beautiful vistas every second or so when the Beluga lurched to the left again, again Bryan fell in an awkward slump against the wall. He hit his head, hard, "AH FUCK!!!" For a moment, he saw stars and the room spun around him. It took him a second to realise the room was, in fact, spinning around him. The ship had gone into an evasive roll to try to escape the interdiction. Bryan almost lost his grip on the lockbox because of it. He struggled to regain his balance while holding onto the box. There was a brief pause in the restlessness of the corridor and Bryan set off once again.

Bryan arrived at the ship map which he used to memorise the ground floor. He needed to check it again. The FSD wasn't on the ground floor. He took a there was another brief pause in the shaking and Bryan took the moment to scan and memorise the rest of the ship's layout.

"Hey, you!" a call came from Bryan’s right. A door to the right of the map about 6 feet down the corridor had opened up and one of the senator's bodyguards was using the doorframe to steady himself. He was clinging to it like someone might cling to a rock amid a tempest. "What’s going on? We’ve been trying to hail the bridge for ten minutes," the man shouted over the creaking and groaning against the interdiction with all its might, and probably Leif's too.

"Well, in case you didn’t notice, we’re kinda busy," Bryan snapped back at the huge muscular bodyguard, something he wouldn't have done in any other circumstance.

The bodyguard fell backwards back into the room and Bryan’s racing mind suddenly had an ingenious idea. He ran as fast as the rocking ship would allow over to the still open door, across the room filled with crying and screaming aides of the senator, picked out the secretary woman who he'd seen fidgeting with her collar earlier.

"You there, give me your data slate!"

The woman, who was not accustomed to being in such a situation, couldn't handle the stress of being shouted at on top of the terrifying rollercoaster ride she was in, began to cry even more hysterically. The woman did, however, manage to get out a few words between the sobbing. "Why?!"

"I need it to get us out of here!"

"I can’t, it’s confidential!" Tears were streaming down the woman's face now.

"Is confidential worth your life?" Bryan shouted back to the woman. The words must've flipped some switch in her mind.

"Fine, take it," she said closing her eyes and throwing the data slate across the room at Bryan.

The ship spun and gravity moved. The fallen bodyguard who had been tumbling around the room for the last while came across the room and pinned Bryans feet in the doorway. The data slate arced and landed on the roof. The Beluga was turning in such a way that down was now up. The bodyguard had clung to one of Bryan’s ankles to try to stop himself from falling to the ceiling. The weight of two people was too much for the mag boot, Bryan found himself almost doing the splits between his foot that was still magnetised to the floor and the ankle that was still held by the guard who was on the ceiling.

"Let go!" he shouted at the guard, who reluctantly did after a plea for help and being told a second time.

Bryan managed to get both feet on the floor again as the ship spun and the gravitational pull was from the floor where it belonged. The guard and the data slate fell, one of which Bryan tried to catch, the other hit the floor with a thud and an "Ow!".

Bryan left for the second floor, where the FSD was housed near the back of the stairs. The staircase was a deathtrap with all the tumbling around. As he got to the long corridor that ran the length of the ship, it went into a nose dive and gravity shifted to the back of the ship. Bryan took a leap of faith, literally. He knew that the dive couldn't last the whole length of the corridor. So he clicked his heels.

Bryan fell along the corridor, he could make out a panel at the very end, a grey "FSD" was written on it along with some red lettering too small to decipher. He was beginning to wonder if he'd make a huge mistake when the ship finally began to level out, but not quick enough. He lost hold on the lockbox and him and the box rolled along the floor and crashed into the back wall, Bryan hit the wall first. Hard. the box came second crashing into his ribs on his right. The blow winded him momentarily.

He re-engaged his mag boots, opened the box and took out the necessary tool to undo the panel. He removed the panel, revealing the humming blue glowing frame shift drive."Whoa" NO! Not the time Bryan corrected himself. He reached into the FSD tightening, loosening, and exchanging what he needed to changing tools whenever it was required. Finally, he took out the data slate, took out the Data transfer cable from its sunken alcove on the slate and plugged it into the FSD terminal. He began overwriting the systems safety features. Without slowing down in the process he stroked the arm computer to deploy in minimal mode, the splint glowed orange and awaited a command.

"Call Commander Leif," he shouted, the call connected after a few moments.

"How’s the frameshift doing?" he heard from the other end, he finished typing the last piece of code and the data slate lit up red with warnings and hazard signs.

"Yes. Clear target destination and point at empty space!”

Bryan heard the bleeping of controls from the other end and Leif confirmed: "Erm, now what?"

Bryan had one word to say and took a breath before he said it.

"Pray," he said calmly.

He jammed a button, the data slate exploded in his hand and the FSD shone incandescent blue, almost blinding Bryan.

The Moto Meli threw itself forward and continued, getting faster and faster, not seeming to cease. And then it did.

Bryan spent the next minute on the floor catching his breath, he heard Leif on the other end mirroring him. Then he realised they had gotten away and spent the next minute laughing, the laughing hurt where the box hit his ribs, he didn't have the energy to get up.

"Now this time we did it," he laughed breathless over the comms to Leif.

"Yeah, you’re right. Get back to the cockpit," Leif said.

"Ok. On my way."

"Well, you see." The Pirate started pushing Luke forward. "It's a board game. You move little fiddly bits around until you check your opponents final piece. When that happens, we declare you the winner and you can go home."

He gave Luke another rough shove turning him towards a small room. In the corner was a pile of tattered clothes.

"I suggest you change, because if you don't. I wouldn't want to be in your shoes." He said with a chuckle. He turned and walked through the door, which closed behind him with a click.
10 Jul 2017, 10:42pm
While waiting for Bryan to arrive back at the cockpit, Leif watched the senator and his accompany over the video feed. The senator had his secretary in arms and the bodyguard stood next to the door, breathing heavily.

"This is your captain speaking," he announced, "I have no idea where we are, but as far as I can tell we are far away from our persuers. We just made a giant leap through space. I'll keep you updated on our situation."

The passengers looked relieved, and a Bryan heaving himself through the door caught his attention. The green details on half of Bryan's Remlok turned black and he was holding his chest.

"What have you done?" Leif asked him.

"Disengaged security switches, as you wanted me to." Bryan let out a groan as he let himself fall into the copilot's seat, "on my way there I got my lockbox to the chest and the dataslate exploded in my hand. Ough."

"Sit back, I have to work out where we are and how we can get away from here." He pointed at the fuel gauge, "that burned almost all our fuel, you know."

With a few taps, Leif brought up the galaxy map. It zoomed to somewhere outside inhabitated space, just between two systems.

"Did we just pull a Jaques'?" he quietly asked himself.

"Wha-?" Bryan asked as he turned his head over, only to cringe in pain shortly after.

"We're in the middle of nowhere," Leif shook his head, "Do you know Jaques' Station? The one that jumped 22 thousand lightyears into nowhere that is now called Colonia. I think we just did something similiar."

Leif proceeded to zoom out, showing the whole of the galaxy. A little orange icon marked the position of the Beluga, a couple blue icons marked systems Leif usually flies around, with a red one marking his home and another couple blue ones were spread over the map - one of them marked Sagittarius A*, another TRA X-1, and another one Colonia - all places Leif has been to on his journey to Elite Explorer.

The orange icon was about halfway between Sagittarius and Colonia.

"We pulled a Jaques'," Leif said as he threw himself back in his seat. "I have no clue what you did, but we burnt about 120 tons of fuel and jumped about ...," he selected his home system to check the distance, "21 thousand lightyears." He paused, got up from his seat and started walking around in the cockpit. "How? And how are we going to get back?" he yelled into the room.

Bryan just watched him in silence, looking at the map ever so often.

"We're lucky this ship is half an explorer," Leif said as he went back to his seat. He proceeded to check the nearest stars on scoopability and plotted a route to the next one, after that he checked the modules. Everything showed damages, but the most severe were at the FSD.

2% blinked next to it.

Leif sighed.
10 Jul 2017, 10:48pm
Luke plodded along in the direction he was being pushed, shaking his head at the obvious sarcasm from the Pirate. He wanted to make a similar response about being good a Chess, but he was shown the tattered rags and immediately kept quiet.

"Fine... Piss off while I change." He muttered under his breath as the Pirate left. Once he heard the click he began rubbing his wrists where the bonds had been chafing and sat down by the pile of clothes. Holding them up for inspection told him they weren't new. A fact that was obvious even at first glance, but more so by the fact there were some suspicious stains that had him cringing at the thought of wearing them.

But wear them he did. As ill fitting and uncomfortable as they were, they were a bit less restrictive than the skin tight RemLock. Definitely useful for 'Chess', although a sickening feeling that he would miss the self sealing technology the suit provided before long.

"Ya, whatever Twinkle-toes." sneered the pirate as he left.

The large door opposite was firmly shut, and with a creek it opened, reveling a large open space. Makeshift walls had been erected in some sort of maze like fashion, about twice as tall as Luke. The entire assembly was covered in an a wired field, electrified to discourage anyone from climbing over the walls. A large suspended platform circumnavigated the arena, and was filled with people whooping and hollering.

Luke could hear a deep voice boom over the loud speaker.

"Time for the "Run'". Introducing in the blue slot, Twinkle-Toes..." A spotlight shined on Luke, "Newly acquired and untested asset. Given his build, he is not expected to make it. Odds are, he snuffs it five minutes. In the yellow corner, Null. Winner of the last run. Things are looking good for him. And in the red slot, our reigning champion, Havok." To this there was much cheering and whistling. "...We are expecting a good bloody show, so place your bets!"

A large holographic display mounted in the center started flashing down from four and in a strangely familiar voice continued. "Three, two, one, engage."

A large bar with nozzles suspended across Luke's cell rotated downward. There was a clicking sound and flaming jets of fire ignited from the nozzles encroaching on his space, forcing him out into the arena.
11 Jul 2017, 9:22pm
Barely having a chance to register what's going on, Luke dove from the cell as the flire engulfed the spot he was stood in. Falling flat on his stomach, he coughed at the puff of dirt he involuntarily inhaled, the hard metal underneath bruising his elbows and probably his ribs too.

*The Run? Is it a race?* He thought, picking himself up from the floor, *I can run... Fuck yes I can run... *

The last thought gave him a bit of hope, despite being against the 'reigning champion' as the announcer had pointed out. He took a deep calming breath, trying to push out thoughts of death and focus on the task at hand, then set off at a slow jog, wanting to move quickly, but not expend his energy too much.

*Ok... So in a maze you have to get to the centre, right?*

It seemed like the best thing to aim for as arrived at a T-Junction and turned right. The dusty floor, however, offered little traction and he stumbled slightly, the small sharp particles grazing the soles of his feet. He still had no idea what the end game was, but he didn't want to think about it either, right now his objective was simply to keep moving.
12 Jul 2017, 5:55pm
"Shit..." Bryan said, "That's a loooong way out.... Musta forgot to carry the one" he joked although he refrained from laughing because his ribs still hurt, They weren't broken luckily, but they were probably bruised. "How to get back indeed," Bryan cycled through a few different panels and menus trying to formulate a plan.

He paused on the Navigation Panel which read;
[ERROR DARK SPACE: LOCATION UNKNOWN]
below which it said
*Location on GalMap is estimated from last jump*

Shit, gonna need to recalibrate the galaxy map for an exact location...that's gonna take a while

"Well I don't think I'll be able to patch up the FSD well enough that it'll survive the trip home, so I think our best bet is to head to colonia and get repairs there, but first we need to recalibrate the GalMap and get to the nearest star to get fuel for the FSD."

He looked back at Leif, "Sound good to you?"
