Elite roleplay: Off station

OFF STATION

Your ship, deep space, anything that is not happening inside the Citi Gateway or Ingaba...

General Roleplay Etiquette:

1. Control only the actions of your own character(s). (AKA: God Mode)
This doesn't matter how small the action is, even if it is as simple as scratching their nose or a direct reaction to something else that just happened. This applies to everything from casual conversation to full blown fight scenes. If you'd like someone to do something specific, PM that person, however keep in mind they are completely within their rights to say no. Especially if said action is inappropriate to their character and/or circumstance.

2. Don't brute force your way into another persons RP.
Approaching with a conversation starter is fine, or indeed some other small action. However charging in, guns blazing and disrupting the flow of another person/pair/groups conversation/arc is about as rude as doing so in real life. If something is going on that you'd like to participate in, be subtle about it. Put out a gentle hook for someone to take, but again, be aware that said hook may not be taken. If you fear it was simply unnoticed, PM the person or people it concerns. Or even leave a message in the OOC forums.

3. Good grammar and spelling is preferred.
We're not asking you to be perfect, but please at least demonstrate willingness. no1 iz gna tak u srsly usng txt spk. There's a wide variety of people here, many who speak English as a second, or even third language. There are even some with varying degrees of dyslexia and/or likely other issues that affect spelling/grammar. We accept them all here. However, people who aren't accepted, are those unwilling to accept polite correction. Remember that even a small thing like the placement of a comma, or the wrong use of there/their/they're can completely change the definition of an entire sentence.

4. Accept constructive criticism gracefully and politely.
If someone spots an issue with your writings, they may wish to help you improve that writing. They may do this through PM or even publicly air their thoughts on the OOC forum. If they have taken the time to be polite and explain what is wrong with your writing, the best way to behave is to respond in kind, using the same manner they have approached you with. It means they have taken an active interest in what you have written and wish to see more. Basically, you have a fan!

5. Don't take the actions or opinions of things done IN RP, to be directly relevant to the writers thoughts or opinions.
Basically, if some ones character calls your character a jackass, it doesn't mean the writer thinks you are a jackass. It's a ROLE they are PLAYING. Watch a movie. The argument between the characters isn't an argument between the actors involved. The same applies here.

6. It's not a popularity contest.
Your RP might be bustling with participants. You have 3 people off station in a fire fight, while another 2 are infiltrating the darkest areas of the station, meanwhile a group of 4 others are tracking your movements in an effort to stop you. Good for you, I'm sure it will be a thrilling read! But you know what? Sometimes the absolute BEST work, comes from two RP characters having a simple heart to heart. Both are valid, both are great, but NEITHER is categorically better than the other. Period.

Inara RP Etiquette:

1. Respect the setting and rules of the universe.
Inara is an Elite: Dangerous 3rd Party Tool. The RP Forums are set in the Elite: Dangerous universe. Elite: Dangerous has rules, as any fictional universe does from Lord of the Rings to Star Wars, or Game of Thrones to Star Trek. If you intend to RP within the Elite: Dangerous universe you are bound by the history and rules of that universe. Simply put, this RP forum is bound by the same rules as the game, so if it can't be done in the game, it is not permitted here. This applies to things from a 50Ly Jump Range on a normal, unmodified Sidewinder, to the destruction of entire stations.

2. Respect the characters created by others.
We have a wide variety of characters already here. It's expected that some will be similar, just as it's expected that two characters will be vastly different. Opinions of each persons character will naturally be varied, but all are valid provided they follow the rules of the universe. You are allowed to interact with, or avoid interaction with, any character in the RP forums. But you have no right to belittle others for their creation. You are not an authority figure on writing, nor are you directly affected by another persons imagination. You might not like it, but you MUST respect it.

3. Be caught up on current events before joining in.
You need basic things like character descriptions in order to interact with them. You also need to know what's going on in the surrounding areas. This is simply because the people you are hoping to RP with, might be gearing up to something that you might not want to be part of. Or simply that the most recent post, out of context, could leave a different impression on the goings on than if you gather that context. We don't expect you to read every single post from the beginning of the forums, just enough to get that basic understanding.

4. Either subscribe to, or frequently check, the Roleplay: Q&A and OOC forum.
People may be discussing something relevant to you there, or even discussing you directly. Perhaps someone asked what the general consensus on the existence or non-existence of a certain object. Or we're just chatting about random gibberish. Either way, be aware of it and use it. If you're unsure about something, such as how guns would look and or behave, or even the music selection, use the OOC forum to ask. We don't have all of the answers, but the collective knowledge and logic usually allows us to overcome an issue and come to a decision on what should be allowed. Frontier Developments, and even David Braben himself, don't have the answers to every possible question that can be asked.

5. Large Scale events exploding out of nowhere are a complete no go.
We get it. Everyone wants their character to be noticed and for people to be tripping over themselves to interact with them. In some audiences, an introduction involving you blasting in for landing in a fiery wreckage of a ship, before cart wheeling out and sword fighting 35 Ninjas before whisking off with the local celebrity for a glorious night of passion, is in fact, cool. This is not one of those audiences. It is generally considered better to build your character up slowly over time. Eventually, you might even have a legitimate excuse to fight those Ninjas. Maybe even with other RP participants by your side.

6. Perfect characters are boring.
The point of a character arc, is that it is in fact, an arc shape. One who is morally unquestionable, fully kitted out and an infinite fountain of knowledge, cannot go through an arc. Give your character flaws. Be it a tendency towards befriending the wrong people, or a bad knee that frequently gives out at inopportune moments. It gives readers something to latch onto and empathise with. You can give your character exceptional capabilities at something, but it requires balance. She's a damn good pilot with no equal, but can't drive an SRV for peanuts. It can lead to some very interesting moments between characters, be it heartfelt or comedic.

Other Notes:
It should be noted that there can be exceptions to these points. For example, good grammar when a character is speaking is actually rare. Few people in real life actually speak with perfect eloquence after all. Or previously arranged actions during a fight scene, such as someone stumbling back after a punch. What's key to remember is context.

All in all, remember this is purely for fun. We have some seriously talented writers here, and others whose writing history starts and ends at high school. But many are willing to help out in whatever way they can. All it takes is that you ask nicely.

Also keep in mind that many people who RP here, also have logbook stories related to the character, or characters, they portray. If it looks like there's an "in joke" going on that you're unsure of, it's probably in those.

In fact, some users have even gone to the trouble of creating "alts" to RP with. If you read back far enough, it's usually pretty clear who has and hasn't, and which ones are the "alts". It's therefore not unheard of to see the apparent seizing of control of other characters. If you do spot one, point it out in the OOC section. If intervention is needed, it will be sorted quickly and (hopefully) politely.

Most, if not all RP participants here have Logbook stories pertaining to their character(s). These are for the reading pleasure of anyone who wishes to do so. While it can be useful to read them in order to gain a bit of backstory on a character you wish to interact with, it should not be assumed that your character shares that knowledge. Within the E:D Universe, these Logbooks either don't exist, or are private diaries kept by the characters. Either way, without explicit statements to say otherwise from the writer, your interactions should reflect that your character is in the dark about any information you, the writer/reader, have gained from reading the stories.

“Meltdown in T minus thirty seconds.”

The bay doors finally began to open, with an agonizing metal screech, as that announcement came through.

“That’s it! The doors are opening!”, I said, if just to confirm Meowers’ report.

Still too slowly for me. I had less than thirty seconds left to get to whatever the minimum safe distance was from the explosion - also counting the prismatic shield generator - but the Corvette certainly was not renowned for its speed. And I had only just reached its bridge, taking as many shortcuts as I could to cross the distance in record time.

Practically flew into the pilot’s seat when I reached it, and flicked the switch that sent the power plant from standby to full power mode. Thrusters roared to life, but were not enough to mask the much louder explosion I heard somewhere behind.

“Get out of here! That thing’s about to go!”, I shouted at Meowers over comms, though she was probably very aware. The Glaive also was, very quickly shooting off into space and out of the danger zone.

Switch power delivery to engines, the rest went into shields. I didn’t care to wait for the elevator to even begin to continue raising and disengaged the landing gear, which also cut off magnetic clamp contact and allowed me to point the ship’s nose upward, pushing throttle all the way immediately. While hitting boost.

An annihilating fireball shot out into the hangar, but I was already moving, only temporarily enveloped in the flames as they shot out into space with me, making it look like I was coming out of a portal from hell. Which, in a figurative way, was quite accurate.

Heat levels rose to dangerous levels momentarily, but quickly settled back to ordinary. No significant shield damage, thanks to various upgrades to the generator and its boosters. I hit boost again, then toggled flight assist off. Distance to the carrier was increasing very quickly, thanks to its decaying orbit, so I allowed myself to turn around while existing momentum carried my ship further away, to witness the demise of the Queen Anne’s Revenge.

The canopy darkened as the center of the carrier brightly lit up for just a split second, then its reactor transformed into a blinding, ravaging ball of plasma that consumed nearly everything in its immediate vincinity. Even at least thirty kilometers away, I still felt the heat wash over me, sensors and other systems getting disrupted as outliers of the very short-lived star’s emissions hit my own ship.

When I regained my vision, there was hardly anything left of the carrier. Only a few fleeting pieces of debris, the remnants of Diaz’s legacy, on their way to make a few unremarkable craters on the airless planet below, or to be found as nameless, scorched salvage by some scavenger in the future. I toggled flight assist back on and set the throttle to zero, main thrusters quickly bringing the ship to a halt.

I looked for Meowers next, and found her… caught in a staring contest with the Glaive. It was pulsing in an ominous red color, the ‘blades’ of its body slowly rotating. Whether I realized it or not, the only thing that was preventing it from attacking were the impulses going through my implant, and… however they were interpreted by the Thargoids.

Their noise was still strong in my head, and hit me like a truck, now that the imminent danger was over. I also felt the less-than-happy ‘signal’, for lack of a better expression, that the Glaive was sending out. They’d finally realized what ship they were looking at. I opened a channel to Meowers.

“Go. Please. I can’t… control them.”

That was all I managed to get out of my strained mind, hopefully indicating through my tone that there wasn’t much between her and a lot of angry Thargoids.

As soon as I saw carrier's bay doors opening to somewhat acceptable extent, I immediately turned away and hit the boosters, also activating the safety cord retraction in order to close the airlock.

Heatsink. Another heatsink. And another heatsink. I was moving as fast as I could, yet the giant nuclear fireball expanding behind me spiked the temperatures so hard that onboard computer must've been thinking that we've made a dive right into a star. When the blast of energy finally reached me, thankfully, already dissipated enough not to cause any damage, it was so bright that I squeezed my eyes tightly shut yet still felt like I'm completely transparent.

Regaining my vision, I found myself still tapping the booster button and dropping heatsinks like it's no tomorrow. I stopped and turned around. The carrier was reduced to a cloud of debris, larger of which still resembled some parts of its structure, yet there was something that deserved more attention.

The Thargoids. Godsdamned swarm of Thargoids.

"Mmmmkay, June. We really have to go. Input: we're surrounded by a shitload of angry Thargoids. And by 'shitload' I mean a real bloody shitload. And they don't like my ship. Honestly, they hate her, hate me, and hate everyone bearing the same insignia. Jumping away is still an option, but reaching your Eagle and, especially, going EVA to install you into it isn't. I suggest you activate a jump remotely and let me know the destination. So that I can perform the installation without such a rude audience around."

One of the new hunter types took a detour and flew closer, inspecting Marshmallow. At that moment, I guessed, they were starting to realise...

Kasumi Goto“Go. Please. I can’t… control them.”
Kasumi's transmission confirmed that.

"...and it seems like I'm going to need your answer quite soon."

I switched my comms to the private channel to Kasumi.

"Got it. Keep your finger on a jump button. I hope June could hear me. Otherwise, we should jump in a minute."

“We should just… go… now.”

The reply was strained, my brain, or mind, barely able to muster enough focus to get words out of my mouth.

“If that damn AI doesn’t… answer, just… go. It can show up at the… carrier, and ask. But I can’t stay… here …”

Breathe in. Breathe out. Slowly. Needed to keep my mind functioning. Put in a course to my carrier’s system. Two jumps. Waited for Meowers to leave first. The Glaive continued to watch the FDL as it gained distance and flew off, then it returned to the cluster of Thargoids, some confusion emanating from what it saw as a threat not getting targeted with overwhelming firepower immediately.

I hit the jump key and set throttle to full. Immediately after entering Witch Space, the noise reduced significantly. It was still loud, but even that felt like relief compared to what I’d been through just now, where my head felt like it was reasy to blow a fuse… or all of them… at any given point, for far too long.

The light of an orange, K-type star filled the Corvette’s bridge a few seconds later. I contemplated it for a few seconds after putting the throttle to zero, then cleared it and lined up for the next jump. No Thargoids bothered me, so I was at the carrier a minute later, with my ship moving down into the hangar.

Lifeboat had probably already arrived, plus any of the survicing FDL wing that had set their ships to return automatically, assuming that they had, but I didn’t bother to check. I just leaned back in the chair, closed my eyes, and let both my mind and body rest for a bit. Didn’t even bother to remove my helmet.

I’d have to explain to Meowers that I never had any actual, direct control over the Thargoids, and that we were really lucky they ‘listened’ to any of my inputs, but for now, I just needed to pass out for a little while.

"Shit! Let's get out."

Kasumi's Corvette initated the jump sequence and I hit the boosters once again, getting further away from the Thargoids. I've had no idea what our green arse friends would be doing without her around, and I didn't feel like testing my luck or intuition.

When the hyperspace tunnel dissipated and I finally arrived at the destination, a system with an orange star, where the carrier waited for our return... I suddenly felt how exhausted I actually was. It was like... Pulling a plug. My entire body, in an instant, became slow and heavy, my muscles relaxed to the point where operating the flight controls began posing a challenge, and the nagging, throbbing pain in my left shoulder returned again. Not so strong, but beyond the level at which I could completely ignore it.

A spare pack of cigarettes in the box under the pilot seat. Truly a wonder.

"Ah, hells..." I murmured quietly after a deep sigh of relief, letting out a puff of smoke.

In moments like that one, you may even begin to understand those who fly with assists. After selecting the carrier on the nav panel, I gazed at the stars for a minute until I realised that I should accelerate to get moving. Then, I almost overshot it, dropping out of the cruise in the last second. Not to mention docking... It took me ages to align the ship properly. When the hangar elevator finally activated, taking Marshmallow to the depths of the carrier, I leaned back, closed my eyes and took my helmet off.
08 Sep 2023, 7:51am
The respite afforded by my arrival at the carrier lasted for a few minutes, the time that it took for the hive’s noise to pull me out of what I felt was going to be a real good nap, and had probably risked to turn into more like a few hours of sleep.

“Fucking Thargoids.”, I muttered beneath my breath, and stretched. A gesture that might’ve been somewhat pointless in zero G, but some instinct told me to do it anyway. Then a yawn, making me realize I still had my helmet on, when my right hand met a solid surface in front of my mouth.

I took it off and stood up from the chair, somewhat wishing for gravity, even just a little bit. Might need to get a centrifuge installed on the carrier… if its habitation quarters didn’t already. Wasn’t sure.

Noticed my railgun was mysteriously absent. Pistol still on my right thigh. I tossed it into a wall lightly to get it to stick there via mag lock, for the moment, and began to search. Nothing on the bridge. Tracing back my steps, I found it stuck somewhere halfway between there and the airlock, probably detached by accident as I rushed to get into control of the ship and take off to avoid getting incinerated.

Returned to the bridge and brought both weapons into the armory, as well as my helmet. Then removed armor and accessories, stowing them in more or less the same place. Could fix the damage on the helmet later, maybe somewhere with gravity, so I didn’t need to worry about it or tools floating around everywhere. It was not significant, anyway, and I didn’t see myself getting shot at like I just did again soon.

Went back to the bridge again. Looked around. Then some more. Noise in my head was still annoyingly loud… one of those days. Wondered for a moment if Seo was having issues with the ‘noise’ today as well, then fixated my eyes on the comms panel. Began to type up a short message for Meowers.

You can hand off that AI to Silvia or something. I’m not too interested in it after it got all childish and up in hands because I dare to have thoughts and a mind of my own.

Going to be on the flight… observation deck. Or room. Whatever. Noise is still loud, so don’t expect too much talk. Maybe.

I hit the send button and flicked the power switch to ‘Off’, leaving only the auxiliary units active. Then I left the ship through an airlock on the… starboard side? Yes. Starboard. That was where the elevators usually were on a carrier, thankfully, unlike those stupid starports where you had to walk the entire length of the pad to get to them.

And enjoyed the view on the mostly quiet observation deck from the bridge, sitting in one of the front center seats - not without an annoyed thought at how there wasn’t one to sit in the center of the row, instead of an offset, when by myself.

There was technically a bar, too, but I preferred the quiet of the front view, where ships occasionally passed by if I allowed strangers to land. Not here, though - even if I did, we were over a hundred light years from the closest pocket of civilization, and I had zero intentions of paying Azimuth’s headquarters a visit.

Once I was certain everyone who was going to arrive was on the carrier, I’d send the order to jump back to the Bubble. Until then, there was the view. And the always, ever-present noise in my head. I really could never catch a break, even if I just wanted to focus on nothing, and doing nothing.

I sighed, and just tried my best to ignore it. To not much success, as I leaned back in the seat and shuffled into a comfortable position for my body.

I walk around the secured med bay pacing back and forth as Aventus looks over the clone of Venus.

'She may have been active at one point. We need to know what her mind has been through to determine if it's safe to allow her to roam free.'

I stop pacing and look over the woman on the bench. While she looks like Venus there is no telling if she is even remotely close to her in terms of mentality. Cloning is physical only but if exposed to the correct stimuli it is theoretically possible to have someone relatively similar to the true person.

'Aventus I don't think we should wake her. I think the safest thing for everyone is to kill her.'

Venus walks in bandages wrapped around her chest.

'I think we should listen to Silvia. This is a very touchy subject and no matter the outcome the morality of it is touchy.'

'OK I'll administer the chemicals.'

Aventus gathers the required chemicals and begins mixing together the dosage to kill the look-a-like. Venus and I walk out of the medical bay and head up to the observation deck aboard Kira's carrier. We stop along the way to grab Venus loose fitting shirt to put over her top half.

*silently observes Venus and Silvia coming into the observation deck from the corner of the eye, then looks back out of the window, warm, soft light from the local star coming through it*

It took me some time to re-activate and get up on my feet again: the pilot seat had a certain gravity to it. Composing myself finally, I walked to my personal compartment, took the armour off and stowed it away into the storage box, trying not to touch anything else. Spent a few minutes in front of the mirror, observing the big bruise on my left shoulder... Just gazing at it emptily. It felt numb. With a bit of nagging, throbbing pain somewhere on the background. Just like the rest of myself. I felt numb and exhausted.

I removed the dried stains of blood from a few deep scratches with an antiseptic wipe and changed to my more casual set, light violet hoodie plus uniform trousers and boots. Caught myself contemplating about the AI core I've still had plugged into the backup power circuit: this thing must've been charged fully already, though it was silent and I didn't know what else to do with it. But, on the background of my mind, I knew it could hear me.

"Taking you back to Silvia and Venus", I said quietly, unplugging the little metal box and squeezing it into the pocket.

When I reached the observation deck, I saw Silvia and Venus staying there and looking at each other, and Kasumi sitting on one of the front seats, staring through the window: deciding not to disrupt the moment of reunification, I reached Kasumi quietly, sat next to her and turned my gaze to the stars.
10 Sep 2023, 1:43pm
I let the silence rest for a few minutes, before I at Meowers briefly, then at the pair on the left. Spoke up, at a normal volume, openly into the room.

“So… where to next? I assume everyone that was going to get here is here now.”

I wasn’t really sure what else to say, so I looked back to Meowers. Felt more like talking to her, anyway. Voice just a little bit lower.

“I’ll be on the station for a little before I leave, once we’re back. If you want to give me a… certain thing, before we go and do our things.”

I leaned back in the seat again. Felt… relieved, at ridding the galaxy of a vile individual for good, at this particularly messy chapter being over. Even if a lot more of those were going to come for me, I wanted to sink into the serenity within my mind and body for a moment, listen to the faint hum of the carrier’s engines coming through the hull, despite the loud, chaotic buzzing inside the brain. Or maybe because of it.

I was certainly - and currently - more annoyed at my inability to pull up my legs, and cross them underneath my body without risking to float off in zero G, than the noise, too.
10 Sep 2023, 2:38pm
"Certainly," I replied quietly, so that only Kasumi could hear me. "I'd totally like to get back to the station... And spend a day being horizontal. Those... certain things should be in stock there."
10 Sep 2023, 3:46pm
“I guess we’d best hope, then.”

I took a deep breath, if just because I wanted to, or to express my relaxed state.

“Would get us back there already, see if anyone is around the station. Preferably without any fights starting. “

I paused, briefly.

“But… want to be sure everyone is on. Not going to leave anyone to fly back on their own from out here. Only one of us knows, though.”

A hinting glance went toward Venus and Silvia, who were still very busy reuniting. A thing that I didn’t want to particularly disturb, but I also felt a strong urge to get us back to inhabited space, which would probably be safer than here, even with everything going on around there.
10 Sep 2023, 6:35pm
'Yes back to Citi.'

I say not really sure what else to say. A numbness washing over me and uncertainty of what is yet to come filling my mind. Venus walks over to Kira and Meowers slowly. As she approaches she pulls out two ornamental daggers and hands one to each of the women. In the handle is a Duval family crest as well as the emblem for the Knights of Cold Harbor.

'Thank you. Both of you put your lives on the line for Silvia. Take these as a token of my appreciation. We likely will never cross paths again. Once I have my name cleared I believe we will be staying far away from the bubble of humanity.'

I walk over carefully to the group Melli following close behind. Her once or white fur now strained a certain level of pink from the blood soaking into her coat. She hops up into Kira's lap and curls into a ball closing her eyes.

'Thank you both. I agree with Venus. Though it may seem we are getting along fine we have much to discuss in private. I would likely be facing some atrocities if it weren't for all of you. Azimuth has been gunning for this research since it started and they likely won't stop. So for my safety and the safety of everyone involved we have decided to depart from here and find a system to homestead on.'

'And what am I supposed to do? Sit around idly and not complain?'

June speaks up startling Melli who lets out a small growl at Ina's hoodie pocket. A faint blue light emanating from within. I recognize the voice from when I was attempting to deal with Antimatter after Jules had initially attempted to steal Melli.

'Jules is on this carrier? That horrendous woman.'

'Silvia dear, Jules was.... murdered by Diaz. Kasumi rescued her AI.'
10 Sep 2023, 6:45pm
"Yeah," I nodded. "I have an AI core here with me. Take it, please. I don't have a slightest idea what to do with it... her... And she's upset at me because I... - oh no! - have chosen my ship over her 'Pit Viper' which is now floating in space somewhere... back there. Intact, but hardly reachable."

"June may want to retrieve it," I shrugged slightly, pulling the AI core out of the pocket and handing it to Silvia. "And I wanted to help, but, a) we were swarmed by a shitload of angry Thargoids, b) she didn't listen to me... Or did, but didn't reply because she's upset. I swear... I've thought AIs are operated by logic. But this thing has a thousand times more emotions, and emotion-driven decisions, than I do. A human being, with a biological mind."

The overall exhaustion was taking its toll on me and I let out a deep sigh, directing my gaze back at the stars, once I finished the last sentence.
10 Sep 2023, 7:48pm
“Be gentle with… well.” I gestured at the AI core with one hand. “I may have upset her a little when I refused to just abandon the carrier and get my own ship out of there. Nothing personal - I think we just had a misunderstanding, as I’d have let her go on her own, but we should probably spend some time apart for now.”

I looked at the dagger I’d been handed, carefully running a hand over it.

“Nice thing. Might keep it as a souvenir, though, so I don’t lose it.”

With nowhere to put it for now, I held the weapon near my waist, in what spare space Melli’s placement allowed. Then I looked at the pair.

“I wish I could just go and leave the Bubble, but I’d go insane with all that noise in my head. And it really is just noise, which I sometimes get images from, for what the damn Thargoids are up to.”

I sighed.

“I’m guessing A-ven-tus” Couldn’t quite stop myself from mocking how he’d told me to pronounce his name. “gave you the data, then? And Diaz is dead. Himself, and clones. Azimuth is next on my list… if I ever get the opportunity.”

Looked at Silvia directly… as directly as I could.

“I wouldn’t have let them have you. If it was just to stop even one other person from going through what Seo, I, and many others went through because of them.”

With that said, I ordered the carrier to begin preparations for the jump back to Inara.

“Don’t forget to send pictures some time once you’re gone, yeah?”
10 Sep 2023, 8:37pm
'We will have to talk with him. He is currently dealing with the uh... other Venus.'

I grab Venus by the hand and walk over to a space on the observation deck away from the others. I roll the AI over in my hands and ponder it for a moment.

'So June.... looks like we are stuck together.'

'Better than some of the other alternatives. I am however still upset about some of the methods you used to try and Crack the ship security aboard Antimatter.'

'Right sorry. Well now all we can do is wait to get back to occupied space.'

I close my eyes and release my mag boots allowing myself to float in zero-G. My breathing is slow and my head swimming with flashbacks and possibilities of what's to come.
