My girlfriend comes from Colonia and she never will be back into this boring place. Facing the nearing thread in Sol her eyes gotta glow in an oddly way...

I don’t want to see any planet burn, but you’re right at the end there.  Who still has their cradle?   I sure don’t.

I'm pretty sure my cradle burned in a house fire.

My character wasn't born there, won't die there. Has no connection to Earth other than being the descendant of the people who were born there.

That being said, Sol won't burn primarily because the Thargoids haven't done much burning of anything in their "invasion" of the bubble. Just going around causing (relatively) minor inconveniences.

I kinda feel the same but knowing FDev if we let Sol fall all the stations will be destroyed and they might end up saying "the thargoids have taken earth" and slowly convert earth to an Ammonia world

I still don't understand why nobody has taken a class 4 plasma accelerator and nuked the atmosphere of a planet yet in-universe.
That's supposed to be a thing, take it out of the fucking flavour text, or use it.

Which will make little to no difference for most players. The only real value Sol has over any other major system in game is sentimental.

Actually yeah, that's a good question. Capital ships are capable of planetary bombardment right?
