Sixten Remus was born to homesteaders in the Lunara system in 2285. He had planned to lead the peaceful life of a farmer, but the United Colonies had different ideas. In 2308, the United Colonies scoured the surface of Vesta, killing Sixten's parents and 5 siblings. In the span of one day, Sixten went from having a large family to being the scion of his line. Sixten's rage at an uncaring cosmos eventually distilled down to a white hot plasma beam to be directed at the UC.

Over the next three years, Sixten Remus went on a murderous rampage across the stars. At first, he signed on to a ship of Freestar Collective privateers aboard the Red Nebula. Prior to their privateer status, Captain Phineas Hammond and the Red Nebula had been fairly accomplished pirates. Remus soaked up every skill they were willing to teach him. He experienced ship to ship combat, learned to board and commandeer, and became a competent ground combatant. As Captain Phineas became more successful and more ships came under his control through boarding and seizing, Sixten eventually found himself in command of a small vessel himself. Vesta's Rage would play an important role in the Battle of Cheyenne, crippling and then destroying the command ship of one of the UCs battle groups. The FC, rather horrified that Remus would annihilate an already crippled ship, thanked him for his service but asked him not to return.

Remus, once again, found himself on his own. His reputation from the war followed him and he discovered the difference between wartime praise and peacetime condemnation for the very same actions. Almost 10 years after the Battle of Cheyenne, Sixten sold the Vesta's Rage to Captain Hammond for a down payment on a new home and a hacking mission to erase his past with both the UC and FC. Keen to make credits in his new life, Sixten went to work for Argos Extractors where he would become Supervisor Lin's newest dusty.
