The captain has informed me that the Constellation deep eye telescope has detected unusual gravitational waves nearly identical to those associated with the Artifacts. The difference being that these are significantly more powerful. The crew of the Atalanta has gathered and pre-flight checks are nearly complete. Our Destination is Procyon A where we hope to locate the planetary source of these signals and, if fortunate, secure another Artifact.Supplemental
I dont know what came over me. When we entered the ruins and I was the device, it just compelled me. I had to know what it meant, what it was trying to tell me. It did something to me. I feel different. Its barely there but I feel it none the less. And this power, some kind of gravitational bending, I have no rational explanation. Its like magic, or some other fiction. And It scares me. Sarah promises we will monitor my vitals but she also insists that I continue operating as her first officer. We have another survey in Leuten's Star planned. What if something goes wrong though? What if this, force, does something to the grav drive and I shoot us right into a star? I dont understand how the captain can be so cavalier about something so mind bendingly .... alien .
