Joining the Vanguard

After returning to The Lodge with the next piece of the artefact, I decided to go see Tuala of the Vanguard again and join up, may as well put my piloting skills to good use right?We spoke a little and he explained what the application consisted of. A trip through history and a combat simulation.
I agree, signed the waiver and went through the history halls learning about how the main factions began, The UC, Freestar Collective, and House Va’Ruun. Many horrible wars and xeno-wars later, the galaxy seems to be in a state of peace other than pirates and some zealots.
I made it to the pilot testing facility where I was put in a flight simulator and told to combat ships. I needed to make tier 3 in order to pass. Through grit and determination and a little help from the debug terminal, I managed to clear tier 6, which apparently no one does…oops? Not going to lie, it’s a good feeling making the top of the class.
I swore in an oath and I’m now being sent out on a comms repair probationary mission
