Well, Father found me in Neon where Mother had hidden us for so many years. Leaving Neon feels like a final goodbye to mother, but she'd want me to move on, especially now, that he's here sniffing around. I don't suppose stealing his ship out from under him while he was here made him happy, but if pissing him off will give up this search for me... nevermind, he's too stubborn to do that, especially when I've just made him a laughing stock in the Crimson Fleet. Pride is the only reason he wants me anyway. He was the last living descendant of the the infamous pirate, Francois Le Clerc, until my birth. Who cares if our ancestry points to a peg-legged privateer-turned pirate? That's ancient history, as in 16th century earth history. Earth is dead and Delgado doesn't give a shit who Papa's ancestor is; it's not like Papa can put that bit of heritage on his resume. Delgado cares about the here and now. And here? One of Delgado's most boastful pirates, my father, just lost his ship to a little Neon Rat.
