With the CSS Frontier being returned to Captain Barrett, the crew and I have been afforded some much needed shore leave. New Atlantis remains my home and this is never more apparent than after an extended journey. Mom and Dad seem positively delighted to have me home more frequently, though my time tends to be shorter than when I'd come home from University. The dock crew has informed me that our newest vessel should be completed and ready for duty no later than the end of the week. Chief Kim will be joining us again along with my fellow explorer and new jogging partner Lt. Andreja. The new EMS and Habitat mods will take some getting used to so Sarah has suggested that we undertake a local surveying mission in order to ease the crew into the new environment.
Though Atlantis' warmth and comfort will always tug at my heart I cannot deny that I'm eager to return to the verse. Even a simple survey mission is enough to have me reading back through my Xeno Ecology journals. I also cannot deny that the chance to be around .... her, has me feeling like a school kid all over again.
