The modifications to the Atalanta are to be completed today. The crew and I will spend the morning on pre-flight checks before undertaking our maiden voyage. Our mission will take us into the Cassiopia system to conduct a planetary survey of Cassiopia II. With Chief Lin and Vasco filling out the crew roster I am confident we can identify and quickly correct any mechanical issues on this first trip offworld for the Atalanta.Supplemental
We have arrived at Cassiopia II and are begining our survey of the planet. Interestingly, scans have located an abandoned biotics laboratory on the surface. Our database shows no registered industrial projects this far out so this one is likely to have been an off the books operation. In spite of our survey duties, Captain Morgan believes that we would be negligent not to scout the facility. Andreja and I have been assigned as away team. Looks like my mineral survey is going to have to wait ... sigh.

We have completed our survey of Cassiopia II and have set course for Alpha Centauri. Aside from a couple run-ins with local pirates, everything went off without much complication. The Atalanta handles wonderfully and its clear that this new design will suit us well.
