-BEGIN TRANSCRIPTION-I guess I should keep a Captain's Log to keep my mind sane whilst out in the void. I lost a good friend a few weeks back, and the wound is still fresh. I don't even know how I got wrapped up in this whole mess. I was working off my debts for GalBank by doing some quick jobs for Argos Extractors--I was on a fast track to pay the loan back in full in around 2 months.
Instead of mining Helium-3 or Europium, we were contracted by a client to dig up some sort of geological anomaly. Given my background as a homesteader, I have seen my fair share of strange land formations, but this was different. This one strange anomaly landed me in the infirmary briefly and then aboard a Discovery-class Ship. Then it landed me into Constellation--the explorer's group that I had only heard legends about.
After returning the artifact to the client, I tried parting ways but their notion of discovering the unknown in the cosmos; intrigued me. I set course for Cheyenne and got in good with my old friends. Paid a few visits and even got a job working in Akila City. It was nice to be back on Akila, I missed the frontier so much. A brief tenure of frontier justice left me wanting.... I wanted to be back aboard my own ship. I scraped some creds together and did some favors for Blake and I was able to get a decent ship out of the deal.
Perhaps I could discover the unknown out in the cosmos? I am not sure, the vacuum of space is getting to me now as I write this. Maybe I will do a few odd jobs on Neon to change my pace.
