Reunited With The Fleet

Well add another member to the Daddy Issues Club. Sam and I are now joined by Haidan Sanon, whose father was Francois Sanon, aka Vae Victus. I suppose I should say "was" as he isn't quite dead like everyone thinks he is. I had my fingers virtually crossed behind my back about keeping -that- secret to my grave. I'll be telling Haidan as soon as I get a minute and a half alone with her.--------------
And yes, I DID tell her. I don't give a rat's-ass about UC and the way they're hiding this dirty little secret. They can blame the "previous regime" all they want. The fact that they're continuing the crime rather than fixing it, that this new regime is keeping him alive, worse yet, working with him, makes them just as guilty. So of course I told Haidan.
After all was said and done, the Terramorph problem is solved, and I ratted out Vae Victis to the rest of the UC high council. I've yet to go back to sub-level 7 to see if they followed through on executing him yet. I really should do that on my next visit to New Atlantis. I've just been too busy with this Crimson Fleet mission.
SysDef more or less twisted my arm to "rejoin" the fleet and "reunite" with my father to be a mole for them in bringing them down. Sam's reaction was pretty funny, "So we're helping the UC now?" and then he gives a half- hearted, very sarcastic "yay."
So my Father is disgustingly pleased with himself that I've returned to him and I have to pretend to be soooo happy that I'm back in the family pirate business, go Peg-Leg Pirate family! I'm surprised he hasn't had his leg chopped off at the knee just to emulate the original Le Clerc.
I've gathered an amazing amount of evidence against them and each time I visit the brig in the Vigilance, I see more criminals added to their glass fish-tanks. The embezzling banker is as smug and verbose as ever. The former Captain of the luxury liner is surprisingly cordial and resigned to his fate. He realizes I've saved him from certain death once we have the Fleet down, and we will take them down. I'm determined to succeed in this.
I want the Fleet and my connection to them severed once and for all.
