Scavenging is a tier 1 Social skill.
The Scavenging skill is also unlocked with the Chef, Pilgrim, Ronin background(s).

Crew skill: The follower provides ammo occasionally.
2There’s a chance you’ll find extra ammo when searching containers.
Crew skill: The follower provides ammo occasionally.		Loot 25 containers.
3There’s a chance you’ll find extra aid items, like Med Packs or chems, when searching containers.
Crew skill: The follower provides ammo occasionally.		Loot 75 containers.
4Tracked resources will get highlighted when using the hand scanner.
Crew skill: The follower provides ammo occasionally.		Loot 150 containers.
Crew skills operate differently from the player's skills. Crew skill bonuses don't stack with each other (only the highest rank applies), but they do stack with your skills. For certain skills, rank doesn't matter, and the bonuses remain the same.
