Simguru Pranav Antal's Wolf Squadron is part of the 1st Utopian Operations Group (1 UOG), 1st Utopian Special Enforcer Wing (1 USEW). It is one of the active duty special interest multirole components of the Utopian Defense Force (UDF). It is headquartered at Tanner Settlement in the Antal capitol of Polevnic.
Formed by the revered Ambassador Adeptus Kaze during the founding of the Antal Defense Program in 3301, this small squadron of hand-picked elite Enforcer pilots trains and employs Antal's best commanders at the behest of Hand of Antal, Enforcer Zaan. Wolf Squadron is a highly-skilled, combat-ready fighter and fortification squadron composed of one deployable flight of mixed ship fighters, and one flight for operational support.
The Squadron receives its designation from the events that occurred during the highly successful Takurua Expansion, the weeklong Operation Wolfpack, following the Battle of Sothis in mid-August of 3301. Under the leadership of Utopian Ben Ryder, who, with Utopian Wolf Commander Lorik Eolmin and allies Sirius Inc., rallied Enforcer pilots and drove the 70,000-merit expansion in secrecy to great success. The operation had such a profound impact that it was used as a throttle to break unwanted expansions throughout the remaining months of 3301. The participating Utopian Enforcers were collectively referred to as The Wolfpack.
The crest of the Wolves of Utopia bears the squadron's unique wolf insignia subdued inside a black triangle with red border, the year of its inception flanked on either side. In 3302, the crest was modified to bear the squadron's combat motto "Usque Ad Finem" flanked to left of the emblem. A third revision added the squadrons operational support motto "In Omnia Paratus" flanked to the right of the emblem.
