Largest known stars expedition

12 Mar 2020Utumo
The goal of my recent expedition was to visit the largest known stars in real Milky Way, which exist and are most accurately mapped in Elite Dangerous. List of real Milky Way stars was taken from this Wikipedia article Largest stars . The results of my trip (largest to smallest stars) are gathered below. All pictures were taken from the same distance ~10 000 Ls just to show the scale of these stars in ED:

Sun = 1 R (solar radius = 695,700 km)

There are few other real large stars systems in ED universe, like for example HR 5171, HD 14528 (S Persei), HIP 100404 (BC Cygni) etc., but there are significant discrepancies between true Milky Way and Elite. There are also few smaller, very well reflected, stars in ED from Wikipedia list: Eta Carinae, Alpha Cygni (Deneb), Rigel, Canopus, Aldebaran, Arcturus.

P.S.
If anyone would like to use my research feel free to do so, just let me know
