Interstellar factors ARE NO LONGER searchable! after the last update. they changed, none of them are correct.
The Umbrella had been in storage for a long time, and that was evident in each of the three crew staterooms being spartan, utilitarian spaces, more military than civilian, with none of them showing any individualization. Only one room looked to be used, and that was because Vasil had left a storage cabinet open where he had placed the suit issued to him on Golden Jackal.

The painkillers were in the head, unopened and out of date by a few months. Compared to the Always Lost, the cluttered interior of which held memories like a well-lived-in home, the Umbrella was antiseptic and cold, nothing but a tool.

On the plus side, if Willow had been performing repairs, the Umbrella’s default COVAS would not ask Vasil for permission to eliminate the invasive lifeform crawling through the maintenance scuttles, like Jefferson had done on the Always Lost.

“We haven’t had a chance to look at any data,” Vasil called out so Willow could hear him. “You know, with the damsel in distress call.”
"Like, yeah. totally. That thing was a whole situation, right?"

Willow paused at the door "So, let's get my ship, and like, get back on track finding this guy. We'll see what my wake compiler program says, and like, find out if it cross-references with what you guys data-mined"

"And dude, like, get some ice on your face. Like, you'll have trouble squeezing it into a helmet if you don't"

With that, Willow went to search Vasil's stateroom. She wasn't nosey exactly, but who didn't like permission to poke around someone's private spaces?
"What old guy doesn't have pain killers? There should be some naproxen in my stateroom just down the hall. It's probably not expired."

It's not that he was particularly old, but spending the majority of his life out in the deep black meant that receiving routine health and life-extending treatments such as progenitor cell injections was less of a routine for him. It was more along the lines of spot treatments during irregular doctor visits when there was a particular ache or pain he could no longer shrug off with the help of OTC medicines.

"Assuming what I was told about the records being changed to be true, I doubt we'll have any future issues. Besides, the station is dealing with larger problems right now. Still, I do not recommend taking any vacations to Golden Jackal just in case."
great frame shift drives fixed 5 to 10 seconds a jump so much better yippee
I enter the crowed and noisy bar, a bit taken aback by all the activity and the contrast with the quieter docks. 4 years of retirement on a backyard planet populated more by goats and cows than humans really made me forget how busy space can be.

Out of the corner of my cybernetic eyes, I spot an empty stool at the counter. In the short distance between me and my seat, I take in the sights for a few moments and notice the waiters and bartenders robots with their battered paintwork, suggesting the hustle and bustle that regularly goes on here. As I seat and order a beer, I take out a little holo screen and begin to mindlessly scroll through latest Galnet news until one retain my attention. "Deadly Explosion on the Golden Jackal Space Station in the Summerland System". A short whistle escapes my lips. What a mess. Not that I'm feeling sorry for any of those cops and bourgeois but damn, this is brutal. A part of me wonders how many people did it take to fuck up to the point of blowing a part of such a station...

But I soon brush the question aside and begin to check for interesting work opportunities in the sector while slowly drinking my beer.
Are you referring to the weekly tasks for your chosen power? I got one requiring escape pods and the instructions specified dropping them in the system they were collected from to a station's power agent. It also targeted the system power state to look for (ie acquisition or fortification).
Hope that helps? I managed to complete the mission once I figured out exactly what was required.
“Then, we should, go there.”, I suggested. “Command, more likely, to hold controls.”

“And reactor. I, still think, overload. Maybe, destroy cooling, and failsafes.”

I looked at the consoles here in a certain way, feeling tempted to wreck them with the applied means of a few dozen bullets. But perhaps it was a better idea to first check if there were any means of turning off - other- internal security measures and defenses first, before doing that and rendering the room unusable.

So I pointed at one of the consoles, but without saying anything and the facial expression hidden, that might have looked a bit cryptic.
Link to your ship on Inara, please? I guess it may be some mismatch with slot names for a specific ship type on EDSY's end, but better to verify.
hardpoint slots get mixed up when exporting to edsy.
It would be better to report it to Frontier, if that's an issue. I am afraid nobody can do anything about it here.

By the way, there is much easier way to get screenshots from the game - F10 key.
"I have no idea... but I remember that one of the lowest floors in the elevator was labeled Command Center. If we can't find the turret controls here, they might be in this Command Center, whatever that exactly is."

In the current situation, a guess was as good as any, but it seemed safe to assume that we might find a way to sabotage the facility's power supply and thereby cause its destruction in the Power Plant section. I shared this thought with my companion.

"Although, maybe a visit to the station with the telling name Power Plant would be sufficient. Without power, even the best turrets can't fire. Furthermore, we could try to destroy the facility by sabotaging the reactor."

I wiped the blood-soaked gloves of my suit on one of the dead officer's pant legs and stood up.

"Damn. I look like a surgeon after an operation... Anyway, what do you think we should do next?"

Someone here mentioned Star Wars The Ascendancy Trilogy and how awesome it is.
So, I thought, why not, lets give it a try.
First book in this series was ... how do I put it mildly... childish. Flat and predictable. Thank the gods it was so short. It's like reading something written for children.
Is it?

Naah.. I am not going to F around with graphic drivers because much more important software (everything else) works fine. It's ED bug. Let them fix it.

System is up to date, uses what ever the stable version is in the depository.
Funny artifacts in the game are amusing but irrelevant. How else can we find a floating bolder in a narrow gorge or massive "wheel tracks" visible from 2 km up.

Add bizarre artifacts (see Odyssey) to this list and of course, Type-8 "shaking" and its hull panel shadows flickering.
Love the faux news report V, thats a nice touch.
Willow couldn't quite remember how she got to the central corridor of the corporate retreat. Bits of the experience came to her, but it was like trying to remember a holo-show she hadn't really been watching.

"Um, so there was this guy, and he was all like, take your clothes off. And I was like no way, right? So we had to wait for this other girl to get there, and then there was a breach I guess and everyone was all, oh wow, what do we do?" Explained Willow looking for a first aid kit. Most ships had one in the cockpit.

As she put on a pair of latex gloves from the opened red cross box, Willow carried on telling the guys what she could remember.

"So I guess we all got into pressure suits, and like, went looking for a safe area, you know? At some point they were all, go this way, or something, like go left, or whatever. So yeah, I was like sure, okay, that's what I'll do, and like, I went right, giving them the slip"

By now, Willow had a sterile wipe on Maul's face so she could get a good look at his injuries.

"Mostly just bruising Maul, and like, nothing worth stitches, but I'd need an x-ray to see about your torso" she informed the black and blue hacker before continuing what she could remember.

"Um, so after that, I found a good place to wait and watch, and like, that's when Maul spotted me" That about covered it as far as Willow could remember. It had been a very stressful experience, and she really didn't want to tread that ground again.

"Ok so, Vee. You got any good anti-inflammatory and painkillers? Some of those and a like, a scattering of Band-Aids and this guy'll be fine"
Much grass, as our spanglish friends say, for pointing that out. Strange thing is that in rereading it a few times before posting, I had a feeling that something was not quite right, but I could not put my finger on it.
"Okay, I did not exactly walk out with a handshake, an apology, and whistling a happy tune," admitted Vasil. "The guard that changed-I mean updated-the records was about to watch me suffocate when he realized ERS had helped his sister, and we were probably not the Marlinists they believed us to be. But all of that did not happen until after the explosion."

Vasil tooks a deep breath, trying to figure out how everything fit together. "The NMLA ass that shot your interrogator must have offed mine as well, but I never saw who did it. I was running around trying to find help for the guy when the breech occurred."

He looked to Willow. "Maul deleted a Neo Marlinist and stole an AV. What did you do that is going to be difficult to explain if it is ever revealed," he asked in that dry way he had that sometimes made it difficult to know when he was joking. "Murder a half dozen people and blow up a security depot?"
I would merely like to note that a slight typo of '3010' has slipped into that supposed terrorist attack.

Unless this did all happen three centuries ago and a large part of the universe travelled back in time, which I suppose would be on par with the other adventures of Count Goodness The Third.
Maul looked dumbfounded. “You just waltzed outta there?!” Everything had happened so quickly and he had no reason not to believe Vasil. The man had been nothing but honest with him from the beginning. “If that’s true, that false report shit must have came down the pipeline after Anderson’s head was turned to synth-cheese by some NMLA loon.” He shook his head in disbelief as he roughly recounted his side of the events. “Then I offed the loon, stole this suit and hijacked an AV to get here.”

“Needless to say, I did not receive your message.”

“What do you mean how did we get out?” Vasil looked between Maul and Willow. He supposed they left the same way he did, but now he was not so sure. “We were let out. One of the guards said that that we were detained based on a false report and that we had been scheduled for release. He did not admit it, but I am certain he altered the records to say that because ERS had rescued his sister’s family.”

Vasil even had enough time to change into a spare flight suit while waiting for Willow and Maul. “I sent a message, but since you are still in the security-issued suits I suppose you did not get it.”
Maul nodded slowly with a glazed over look in his slowly shutting eyes. “Sure feels like it too.” Resting back into one of the empty crew seats felt like a heavenly embrace compared to everything that had happened prior.

“FIA’s not too happy with me. Got a lot more info on me than I thought. Fuckin’ PDB.”

He opened his eyes again and looked over at Willow and then to Vasil. “I’m glad you guys are okay. Was worried they were doing the same to y’all.”

Grunting, he adjusted himself and continued. “How’d you two get out anyhow?” He looked to Willow again. Her blonde hair dye job may have been rushed but the new look suited her in an odd way. It felt like he was looking at a different person all together. “And why were you just sitting by the docks?”
