Inara updates, bug reports, requests
When you try to link your accounts, you may receive the http error 400 about expired tokens. It's an issue on Frontier's end that I cannot solve on Inara. Fortunately, the solution is simple - please give it a few days and it will start to work later (probably when the access token on their cAPI server expires). If the error 400 appeared later and it worked before, try to reauthenticate as said in the error message (may be just a regular reauth forced by Frontier). Alternatively, you can try to use the workaround below. If even that won't work, it's the problem described above.
Please vote for the issue on the official bug tracker: https://issues.frontierstore.net/issue-detail/21258
Possible workaround: Try to connect the account while you are in the game. It may work.
Game data and imports not available for console commanders and PC players with Legacy game version
Inara supports only the Live game version (so PC Horizons 4.0 and Odyssey) since game update 14, thus all the game data on the site and the commander data imports work only for those game versions.

ArtieGuys, as the Thargoid war is concluded, I am considering the following changes for the Xeno-hunter medal and I would like to hear you opinions about it first:
What do you think about that?
- As there is now harder to get Thargoid kills en masse, the requirement for the Interceptor, Basilisk, etc. kills will be removed. But, to compensate the difficulty change, the overall amount of Thargoid kills will remain unchanged (as it's now slower to get them).
- As such change will allow me to use the lifetime value of Thargoid kills from the journals/in-game Codex, the Xeno-hunter medal will contribute to the rankings score (which currently does not).
I vote for leaving it as it is. Might that mean that some people won't earn 5 stars? Yes. Because 5 stars is out of reach without the war, in this case.
If most trade loops were to disappear, should the trade medal amounts be lowered? No, they'd just be badges of honor for those that had done so much when able.
I don't think the medals should be adjusted with current gameplay, otherwise you're always having to update all of them.

ArtieAs there is now harder to get Thargoid kills en masse, the requirement for the Interceptor, Basilisk, etc. kills will be removed. But, to compensate the difficulty change, the overall amount of Thargoid kills will remain unchanged (as it's now slower to get them). So, killing one thousand Scouts would give you the same amount of 'progress points' as one thousand Interceptors? That's exactly the thing that has been putting me off considering that medal 'serious' in the first place.
...
What do you think about that?
If my opinion were of any value, I'd remove the Scout counter at all. Or maybe left it on some small value like 500 for the entry level. There's no skill and challenge in targeting those little things and pointing your ship armed with a dozen AXMCs somewhere in the general direction. And any upper medal tiers should have Interceptor-only requirements. But then there's a wide gap between fighting them solo or swarming Hydras with dozens of ships every one of which gets a 'kill' point in the game (and no way of distinguishing skill-demanding kills from that), and also there were even occasions of cheating.

I'd suggest a compromise: keep the difference between Scout kills and Interceptor kills, but do not differentiate between different Interceptors.

Just making it be a pure game of numbers makes it so someone who just goes after Scouts gets viewed the same as someone who takes down Medusas and Hydras routinely. Not sure if that would be a particularly good thing.
... or make a separate medal/award for the Interceptor kills from the main xeno-hunter one?

ArtieYes, the medal generally shouldn't degrade as the kill goal values will remain unchanged. There however may be a minor shift (up to a few dozens of kills) in both directions in some cases, once only a lifetime kill value from the journal will be used.
How about the Hunters?
We often encounter them around the Titans when we farm materials...

So far it looks like you prefer to rather not to touch it and keep it as is (so the medal will be harder to achieve in the current conditions and still won't be contributing to rankings), but let's still keep the discussion open...

I guess... Yeah, leaving it as is would be better. Tier 5 was achievable before the war, more than so. I personally had the required Interceptor kill count for it (playing mostly solo and with limited time), only lacked the general 'kill count' since I couldn't bring myself to grinding Scouts. So Scout kills just naturally added up later during the AXCZ/station scenarios where you had to control their population anyway. And I guess there are dozens of people with the same 'backstory', who started AX before the 'war'. Also, nobody knows yet what Frontier has in store for the future of that gameplay, all those Titans and newly added scenarios can't go to waste, I guess we may see more of that madness in the future (i.e. with the colonisation stuff).
