Inara updates, bug reports, requests
When you try to link your accounts, you may receive the http error 400 about expired tokens. It's an issue on Frontier's end that I cannot solve on Inara. Fortunately, the solution is simple - please give it a few days and it will start to work later (probably when the access token on their cAPI server expires). If the error 400 appeared later and it worked before, try to reauthenticate as said in the error message (may be just a regular reauth forced by Frontier). Alternatively, you can try to use the workaround below. If even that won't work, it's the problem described above.
Please vote for the issue on the official bug tracker: https://issues.frontierstore.net/issue-detail/21258
Possible workaround: Try to connect the account while you are in the game. It may work.
Game data and imports not available for console commanders and PC players with Legacy game version
Inara supports only the Live game version (so PC Horizons 4.0 and Odyssey) since game update 14, thus all the game data on the site and the commander data imports work only for those game versions.

RandomAlecNot sure if this has been suggested before: I have a lot of ship templates for different kinds of builds, although it doesn't bother me...it counts all the ship builds that I've added as part of my fleet as also part of my budget, total assets, etc. Can we possibly have an additional button added for each ship next to the "current" and "main ship" small buttons with a T that represents "template" or something of the like?
This would help keep ship templates out of the statistics of the website if we so desire.
Probably nothing like that, but I have some plans to allow multiple configs under single ship, so it should fit the idea I suppose.
Kantos KanHello.
I'm trying to search for a commander. So, I go to the search page and enter his commander name. I click Search. The site then displays "Searching for: <commander name>" but it never seems to come back. There is no refresh in the browser. After 5 minutes, it still says "Searching for".
Is this normal?
Yes, if nothing is displayed it means that nothing was found. I should add some message there to make it more obvious, I completely forgot that.
JPotterIf a player is receiving personal threats, threats in regards to Doxxing, criminal acts in real life etc. through this website... Who can that be reported to on this site? How do you get in contact with the developers?
That individual player can contact me via PM directly here.

The minor faction Allied Herthans Front have expanded outside of Herthans into the Sanai system. Is there a way for me to amend controlling minor faction of the stations in Sanai to Allied Herthans Front in the stations menu?
Thanks!

Is there any chance of adding SRV's to our personal fleet rosters?

Manual updates would be a bit tedious as I'm looking over 5 separate systems!

Red3nvyHi there
The minor faction Allied Herthans Front have expanded outside of Herthans into the Sanai system. Is there a way for me to amend controlling minor faction of the stations in Sanai to Allied Herthans Front in the stations menu?
Thanks!
Yep, go to the system page (example - http://inara.cz/galaxy-starsystem/16215) and hit the edit stations button.

The state the system is in seems to not matter at all, all that matters is the location of the system.
Someone in the Frontier Forums pointed me towards Maia for Proprietary Composites, claiming to have seen them in missions there, in some outpost in a federal system on the way to Maia. So I picked one at random and jumped there, and voilà - instant win. I have been looking for those f***ers for some weeks now, checked every system in election state and quite a few other Federation ones. They've just been in a different location. Location seems to be what matters.
I found them here:
High Grade Emission (Threat LVL 0)
found Core Dynamics Composite
and Proprietary Composite
Federal System <- this might also be of importance
Boom State (this doesn't seem to matter anyways)
42 N Persei System <- this seems to be most important
So this hint was what led me in the right direction. You can't imagine how happy I am! I would never have looked there. It was the second USS that came up there- the first one I couldn't reach because I was interdicted by pirates a few Mm before (I was *g angry about this), then I headed towards the only outpost but fell asleep at the controls. Woke up some 40.000 ls out, turned around and again headed for the only outpost. Fell asleep repeatedly and finally woke up, still a few hundred ls off the outpost, with an USS right before me. Checked it, high grade emission, made it, found it full of the stuff. 4x Proprietary, 1x Core Dynamics Composites. Perfect score 5/7.

Is the comment system on Inara Missions is still relevant?
A report missions system would be even better with custom fields.
It was just a suggestion.
For now, your group makes its reports on a thread. But this is not very practical because it also contains lambda comments.
Thanks ^^

My first thought was "store timestamp when we last checked EDSM for this system, only request update if it's past some threshold". But then you may as well just do a fresh EDSM pull of all new data since "X minutes ago". I do that for my route planner, every 15 minutes. I actually use the timestamp of the most recently updated system as the 'from', to be sure not to miss anything.
Specifically I do something like: http://www.edsm.net/api-v1/systems?coords=1&showid=1&known=1&submitted=1&startdatetime=2016-09-02%2010:36:21
Yes, but if I understand it right, in this case it is based per user and not per system, as it should set the individual location of each commander. If it should work, I need to check the latest commander's position doesn't matter the timestamp and I can just limit how often is each individual commander checked, but the number of requests will be growing with each commander. Also, there may be excessive requests for commanders logged in, but not in the game (and there is complicated to check this state, although I may increase the requests delay when the latest location was not changed for a long time). Simply, it will lead to EDSM flooding and it's not something I'd like to do. For this case is much simpler to create an EDMC plugin which will handle that directly and I may take a look on it later, but no promises at this moment.
I'm not sure about the specifics of EDSM's API other than requiring:
API access key (copied by the player from his profile page)
A valid application/client ID issued by EDSM so that EDSM can keep tabs on and heuristics on (and potentially block errant or malicious) applications.
I believe this following command would be very light to call once when starting an Inara session and also if I could just press a button labelled EDSM to manually update it it would be helpful.
https://www.edsm.net/api-logs-v1/get-position
I believe this command just retrieves the current system info and nothing more.

It would be nice if our CQC rankings took K/D, W/L total xp etc into account
Thoughts?

Don't know if this is possible but I would love you to set up a Commodities Swap Shop...
Want
XYZ x 4
VWX x 2
I have available
ABCD
GHIJ
MNOP
Currently based around Shinrarta... etc.
Have a time field so that we can see "fresh" requests. and a refresh button so that commanders can reiterate their requests...
Basically a Craigslist but using your current commodities list...
in short, what I'm trying to say is that I'm looking for Terminal Modulators and Chemical Manipulators.
