Commanders having Elite from Epic games store with http 400 error
When you try to link your accounts, you may receive the http error 400 about expired tokens. It's an issue on Frontier's end that I cannot solve on Inara. Fortunately, the solution is simple - please give it a few days and it will start to work later (probably when the access token on their cAPI server expires). If the error 400 appeared later and it worked before, try to reauthenticate as said in the error message (may be just a regular reauth forced by Frontier). Alternatively, you can try to use the workaround below. If even that won't work, it's the problem described above.

Possible workaround: Try to connect the account while you are in the game. It may work.

Game data and imports not available for console commanders and PC players with Legacy game version
Inara supports only the Live game version (so PC Horizons 4.0 and Odyssey) since game update 14, thus all the game data on the site and the commander data imports work only for those game versions.

Heh.  Well, I restarted the game - it's in the process of "preparing planet generation" which takes... a while on my system, so I'll know if my ship survived in a few minutes.  

Even if my ship gets through in one piece, I have to wonder - what WAS that?  I've had the game for two weeks and it hasn't given me any real trouble until now.

UPDATE: ship survived, though the jump was cancelled and I had to do it over. Things seem to be working normally again. Thanks for your thoughts.

We now return you to your regularly scheduled Discord chat, which is already in progress...

I live in the back woods of Maine in the US and this happens to me fairly regularly, getting a matchmaking DC during a jump. The only time it really worked in my favor was back in the old days when we had the "get out or die" coding in the stations. Your ship would be targeted and destroyed if you did not leave the station interior within 30 seconds or so. I had just lifted off one day and my joystick malfunctioned with a constant right thrust command, pinning me to the girders to the right of the exit. I had resigned myself to my fate and a rebuy on my Type 6 when I got DC'd...when I reconnected it put me outside the station, ship intact. That was a close one....

TringaliI hate to ask, but does anyone have a good idea where to find PANITE for Selene Jean? I'm farming pristine metallic rings using http://edtools.ddns.net/ (which is awesome) but still not finding any. I hear the RES sites spawn in, and if I'm not in one I won't find any... is that correct?


Try Toluku Coordinates are 41 / 141.59375 / 79.96875.

I had a lot of luck there. Nice system for mining.

I've had the game get squirrly at various times, but they all seem to fit into two categories:

1. Server sync issues, either matchmaking or sometimes adjudication servers don't sync up on the gamestate properly and the game bails out to an error message and menu. This usually happens in normal space to me - it doesn't happen often - and usually right after a skirmish. The adjudication connection is made to account for a kill so this makes sense, the matchmaking one seems to be all about maintaining instance integrity with new players or NPC's popping into existence. I've had this happen while mining, right after finding a really meaty asteroid, and it's infuriating when it does.

2. Transition screens, as you're describing. I suspect that behind the scenes it's also a transaction issue, or the game gets into a weird state due to a transaction issue but fails to actually respond correctly with an error and dump to menu. This is hyperjumps, sometimes transitions to/from supercruise (planetary or otherwise), and when getting into or out of the SRV.

Given the game is an online game, connectivity interruptions or even congestion might play a role, but the server sync issues are likely mostly Frontier glitches.

Both are annoying and "immersion breaking" (must be horribly jarring in VR, I would guess) but relatively benign. On one or two occasions I've had to "Validate Game Files" (using the Options menu in the game launcher) after a crash, but most of the time just restarting the game is all that's needed.

You can mine tons of Painite at Laksak in the rings of the gas giant that is about 345,000 ls away from the beacon. Peaceful and pretty if don't drop into the resource sites but a little bit of pirate action of you do. Good hunting commander.

I remember it saying "magnetic emiter coils" next to the tab that said the cost of a grade 5 FSD upgrade but when I got some it didn't allow me to do anything with them...

The commodity requirements were removed a while ago. The owner of Inara originally said he'd not remove them because FD said they'd come back once they have commodity storage, so no double work removing and readding. Since then he has gone on extended hiatus, and information gets increasingly outdated. Noone else has access to the blueprint pages to make changes either. The next patch will probably worsen that with the all new blueprints for scanners coming.

I think it's because by default, jitter is always zero. It can only go up!
