Inara updates, bug reports, requests
When you try to link your accounts, you may receive the http error 400 about expired tokens. It's an issue on Frontier's end that I cannot solve on Inara. Fortunately, the solution is simple - please give it a few days and it will start to work later (probably when the access token on their cAPI server expires). If the error 400 appeared later and it worked before, try to reauthenticate as said in the error message (may be just a regular reauth forced by Frontier). Alternatively, you can try to use the workaround below. If even that won't work, it's the problem described above.

Possible workaround: Try to connect the account while you are in the game. It may work.
Game data and imports not available for console commanders and PC players with Legacy game version
Inara supports only the Live game version (so PC Horizons 4.0 and Odyssey) since game update 14, thus all the game data on the site and the commander data imports work only for those game versions.

I know that it updates several different websites with, funnily enough, market data, but surely there would be a way to use it to also give data about who controls what system, the percentages of reputation, etc. Also could update player profiles about ship data, finances, reputation, etc.

The ED Market Connector has nothing to do with Inara. EDMC updates EDDB and EDSM, and Inara gets data from EDDB.
EDMC already seems to track what ship you're in, how much money you have, your rankings and powerplay status. I'm sure it can be easily extended to also capture the state and faction info for the systems we visit but this is something that the ED MC developer(s) would need to do. EDDB seems to track faction info, but I have no idea where they get it or how. (https://eddb.io/system/factions/17072) I'm pretty sure it's accessible via API so Inara could, concievably pull it from there if it doesn't already.
You might also want to check out Picard (https://github.com/jtickle/Picard) which reads your log files and can update Inara with materials and data scan info for Engineering purposes.

2) If Artie is doing Inara dev work it may as well target EDDN rather than hoping something that already sends there will also start sending elsewhere.
3) Again, EDDB is getting *some* faction info from the EDDN messages. It also allows manual edits. EDDB doesn't have a live API, just nightly dumps of the data (which, confusingly are found by following the Other > API link).
EDSM is gearing up to start tracking materials and data - mostly it's waiting for 2.3 to be live as it will include a dump of the current totals at login.

Quick question - to whom should I / we contact to send screenshots of new cargo-less Engineer Recipes?
It needs a rather quick update as it has been a while since the recipes have been updated, and people (personally as well) regularly check Inara for resource hints - then finding out Grade5 FSD-Range-Increase doesnt need Magnetic Emitter Coils anymore after the shopping trip for them.

Commodities requirements was removed by the Devs, but they might come back. That's why they still remains.

Wilson100hey fellow commanders i have just logged back on from a couple a months of a break. and now i am looking for a fighter bay for my anoc but i have been to alot of stations and still not one and also there are none listed on this page. is this a glitch. please help a fellow commander. still wandering the black
Why don't you try eddb.io, the Station section? Usually, it will tell you the closest station from you that sells the module you're looking for.
