Commanders having Elite from Epic games store with http 400 error
When you try to link your accounts, you may receive the http error 400 about expired tokens. It's an issue on Frontier's end that I cannot solve on Inara. Fortunately, the solution is simple - please give it a few days and it will start to work later (probably when the access token on their cAPI server expires). If the error 400 appeared later and it worked before, try to reauthenticate as said in the error message (may be just a regular reauth forced by Frontier). Alternatively, you can try to use the workaround below. If even that won't work, it's the problem described above.
Please vote for the issue on the official bug tracker: https://issues.frontierstore.net/issue-detail/21258

Possible workaround: Try to connect the account while you are in the game. It may work.

Game data and imports not available for console commanders and PC players with Legacy game version
Inara supports only the Live game version (so PC Horizons 4.0 and Odyssey) since game update 14, thus all the game data on the site and the commander data imports work only for those game versions.

People with access to the Cobra MkIV:

PC: Beta Testers, Kickstarter Funders, Pre-Orders (?), Horizons Pre-Orders.

XB1: Horizons Pre-Orders

PS4: No Access Yet

This list probably isn't exhaustive but I think it is at least mostly correct (someone else may chime in and correct me). Either way, if you don't meet one of those criteria, you won't have access to the Cobra MkIV no matter what station you're in.

If you're PS4, I'm very confident an opportunity to obtain it will arise soon and that will likely also give PC/XB owners another one.

All that said, she's a decent little ship, but the Cobra MkIII can do most of what it's capable of at a slightly lower price. Don't fret if you can't get one, I love mine, but she's not worth getting too worked up about especially if you move up to larger ships.

Hope this helps

It's a rubbish ship anyway.

Cobra 3 vastly superior to the 4, same as viper models and cost more. If i had to choose i'd pick the 3 EVERY TIME

ArtieThat's correct, the Loadout event with the ship details (ship name, ident, modules value) is written to the journal just on the game start and ship swap, so these needs to be there to update your ship details properly. So, eventually, quitting to main menu and back to the game is good enough, too.

Thanks for the replies but I'm saddened to say that it doesn't like me and wont update my ship Everything else seems to update except modules.

Artie - Inara has a system called Karuntable supposedly 1.11LY from Kuruntable - This I had to see. However, when I got there, there was no Karuntable and then I noticed that the stations had the same names......

Clearly, Karuntable seems to be a duplicate within Inara

Artie, possible new feature:

Who: all CMDRs
Where: CMDR'S LOG | Rank and Reputation | Ranks (or a new subcategory in Rank and Reputation; e.g. "Achievements" )
What: add the ability to store medals, rewards, etc.
Why: various platforms provide rewards/achievements and some factions give medals/rewards for service
How:  Just like the existing 6 E:D ranks images, provide 6 empty image slots which allow a user to enter a URL to their image.  For example, I could take a screenshot of an XBox achievement, crop it to fit the dimensions, save it to Imgur, and assign the URL to one of the 6 boxes.  Next, provide a textbox which allows any number of URLs to be entered.  Each URL will generate a 16:9 form-factor thumbnail (each the same height as the left-hand menu bar).  The thumbnail could be a lesser achievement, a ribbon, etc.  Clicking on the thumbnail does nothing; hovering over it shows the full size version (up to whatever max you set).

Please let me know what you think.  If it sounds like a good idea, but my description isn't adequate, I can mock it up for you.  Cheers!

I like this a lot! I doubt I would use it myself, but I think I'd enjoy seeing what others put.

Hey Inara Team,

I'm the wing commander of EDA Kunti League player faction. we have a faction implemented by Frontier dev a year or so ago but have noticed that when we create missions on our system another inara wing is occupying the headquarters data section. this group dont have an in game faction and probably dont realise they have set up shop in a real player groups zone, but it would be cool if the system would read as ours, we fought hard for our home.

the cobra needs some adjustements, but the viper 4 at least have armor to survive longer than a viper 3 and for both of them, speed is a secondary problem compensate/fixed with palin Grade 5 thrusters mods

PS: the small hardpoints triforce on the top of the cobra 4 is great for rail guns. o/

Ah, yes, the journal info currently doesn't update the ship modules. My idea is that I will connect it also with stored modules (so modules will be stored when not sold on outfit changes) and so on, but currently the journal doesn't provide enough information to make it reliable. I suggested few improvements to FD about this, so let's see if it will be implemented. It can bring a nice automation to the whole tiresome process of managing the stored modules and ship modules.

Thanks, it was apparently a typo in early days, that star system was removed.

Hello, nice idea. I am just not a friend of "outsourcing" such things, which can easily get out of control. But, I have on my ToDo list a medal/rewards system, which may fit in. I was also playing with the idea to allow Xbox/PS4 users to connect their profiles (and their achievements) to the profile page here (it seems it is doable by using 3rd party APIs or simply by scraping the official pages), also with some "showcase" similar as is on Steam. I have full hands with the journal improvements and Inara API at this moment, but I may take a look on it after that.

Well, they can do that. Setting the headquarters doesn't guarantee any "right" to this system and also to player minor faction there. I see you are having your faction properly set in your wing settings, so it should be "claimed" to you. You can eventually set your HQ visibility in your wing settings to be public, so you will be also displayed on the star system and minor faction pages appropriately, which should dispel any doubts who cares about Kunti.

I currently have two Cmdr accounts (in-game and with INARA) with totally different playstyles, bookmarks, ships, locations, etc.

It appears, because of the website cookies I presume, that it is impossible to have both logged in here at the same time. My goal is to have a shortcut on my browser to the INARA page for each Cmdr instead of constantly having to log out/in to check everything when I come here.

Is this possible?

If you use Google Chrome you could make use of the user profiles feature it has. Don't need to quit out to select a new one, just use the button top-right to open a window for whichever other user. Of course if you don't use Chrome as your primary browser you also have the option of just using a second browser for the other Cmdr.

Thanks for the idea!
I use my phone for 99% of my internet surfing (Safari) and have been curious to give the Firefox version a try. Guess this gives me a perfect excuse.
Thanks again.

Private mode will also work (or whatever it is in Safari), but you'll have to log in to the second every time you open it.

:-) Yeah, I totally understand about the outsourcing thing. I was just offering the feature request. For our particular use, we are hoping to provide medals/ribbons for our faction members participating in wars. Thanks!
