Inara updates, bug reports, requests
When you try to link your accounts, you may receive the http error 400 about expired tokens. It's an issue on Frontier's end that I cannot solve on Inara. Fortunately, the solution is simple - please give it a few days and it will start to work later (probably when the access token on their cAPI server expires). If the error 400 appeared later and it worked before, try to reauthenticate as said in the error message (may be just a regular reauth forced by Frontier). Alternatively, you can try to use the workaround below. If even that won't work, it's the problem described above.

Possible workaround: Try to connect the account while you are in the game. It may work.
Game data and imports not available for console commanders and PC players with Legacy game version
Inara supports only the Live game version (so PC Horizons 4.0 and Odyssey) since game update 14, thus all the game data on the site and the commander data imports work only for those game versions.

ArtieIaened Bourne, VampyreGTX, Galadrial: You factions should be now set as player factions. I have this option intentionally disabled for the confirmed factions, as some (usually new) players were setting existing NPC factions as a players ones, although they wasn't. When a minor faction is assigned to a wing, only the wing owner can edit it, to prevent some ninja edits. But, it seems there may be some issue when it is not set as PMF, same as the minor faction adding, I will take a look on it.

On another note, was there any news on getting our personal profiles automatically updating with software like ED Market Connector? I've been out of the loop for a while.

Sly killer 9136So how can I edit a minor faction here that my wing owns IE The Fireflies Minor faction? The Player part is greyed.
As your minor faction is assigned to a wing, only wing commander can edit it, but I may extend it to deputies later. Your minor faction is set as a player faction already.

When I swap my current ship from one to another, the 'Ship Location' no longer updates automatically to the location of the newly selected vessel. Instead it just remains blank and you must update it manually.

Thank you so much for your impressive work! You make the life in the Galaxy so much richer for thousands of Pilots!
It would be great if you are able to think about some more Options:
Inara would be even greater if:
- We could share specific Threads with our coalition Allies
- The Wing leader could change Ranks for several Pilots without refreshing the board for every Pilot.
- The Pilots could have more roles in the Wing at once. Like Scientist, Educater, Strategist….
-We could have more options to steer the access to, respectively the visibility of our missions based on the individual rank of our pilots, similar to the current modus operandi of the discussion threads. We have to face a massive undermining by another faction and need more options than just excluding access for recruits.
- Wings Members should not be listed as active part of Missions, after they have left the Wing.
- The Wing Leader could give Medals (Maybe with an own picture) to the Members (and maybe Allies) for their service. (Already on the List

It depends which ranks, some have restrictions (max. ranks of this type in a wing or "age" of the member)

Yes, the ship buy/sell/swap/transfer isn't properly handled on the journal import yet, but will be after the minor update today.

ad threads] It is something I would like to do with the coalitions revamp
ad ranks change] Yes, the overall ranking/wing member edit mechanism needs some improvements, it is painful especially for a large wing. Definitely on my list. You can use auto-promote feature meanwhile, too.
ad more roles] What purpose those roles should serve? What they should do within a wing? Just trying to get better insight, not opposing the idea.
ad mission visibility] Do you mean that some missions should be accessible just from some rank and higher?
ad past members on a mission] It's a bug, will be fixed. Thank you for pointing to this.
ad medals] It is on my ToDo.

Just like in the Threads, we would love for some Missions to give only our higher ranked Pilots visibility of several critical Missions, because of the undermining experience in the past. For example Missions with only visibility and access for Flight Leaders and above.
ad more roles] It is just a Idea for better orientation in a large Wing (we are more than 100 now). The Pilot could show his current role to others, he is for example mostly active as a Alien Scientist, or BGS Expert, or Exploring-Adventurer or PvP-Fighter, or Engineer's Darling or Elite Teacher....
So they could find each other more easily. For now they could build a "Squadron of interests", but with "roles" is could be maybe more like showing your own interests and build your own story, visible for others.
Maybe there is a way to put Ranks on this, too, in the future, given by the Wing Leaders. This could be something like the Medals and Awards (BGS-Master, Alien-Scientist Student...) Maybe the Medals for several roles are enough to show the abilities of the Pilots in a Wing.

I don't see a way of populating the fields (various ranks, etc.).
How does this work? I'm suspecting that the website is somehow getting this information from a Frontier database, but I don't know that. Also, since I'm on a PS4, I'm not sure it will work at all.

You need to add all the various items of information in your Inara profile first. The Pilots Licence then pulls the information through.
