Commanders having Elite from Epic games store with http 400 error
When you try to link your accounts, you may receive the http error 400 about expired tokens. It's an issue on Frontier's end that I cannot solve on Inara. Fortunately, the solution is simple - please give it a few days and it will start to work later (probably when the access token on their cAPI server expires). If the error 400 appeared later and it worked before, try to reauthenticate as said in the error message (may be just a regular reauth forced by Frontier). Alternatively, you can try to use the workaround below. If even that won't work, it's the problem described above.

Possible workaround: Try to connect the account while you are in the game. It may work.

Game data and imports not available for console commanders and PC players with Legacy game version
Inara supports only the Live game version (so PC Horizons 4.0 and Odyssey) since game update 14, thus all the game data on the site and the commander data imports work only for those game versions.

It might be worth adding that Alioth requires a system permit on Bill Turner's Engineers page.

(For which you have to be Allied with Alioth Independents.)

AdmlAdamaArtie, Have you considered encrypting traffic to Inara using a SSL certificate (such as the free ones from https://letsencrypt.org) ?


This really should be done. Chrome is going to make non-encrypted sites more obvious in January, and eventually give them the evil red "not secure" status. They're really pushing for https everywhere. It would be smart to get on board.

I've heard there is work being done on a way to import the session log files from the client. I was just looking through some of mine and they're pretty neat. I want to parse them! Is there any way I can help?

Thanks for the great site! I use it daily, now.

Is it just me or have the Power Play Control Systems not been updating? Torval taking Gaula isn't reflected on Gaula's or Torval's page on Inara. The side effect is that the Market isn't showing the correct status for Imperial Slaves (forced legal, in spite of the system controlling faction).

OK here is a challenge for this website to do make a separate tab to let people know where to permit needed systems are not including rank stuff like elite and king and admiral but the system that a normal player can unlock and use

Could we please have an auto-save facility for the logbook? I've lost an hours worth of work because I was automatically signed out.

Hi Zhon Daeli, on the Login Screen there is a checkbox and you won't be signed out until you do.

I had that checked, still signed me out.
Had this problem on a few sites though, so I'm willing to concede that it may be an issue with my browser.

It probably is. I had the same problem with firefox. I switched to Chrome and it seemed to resolve.

I type my stuff in Notelad++ and then cut and paste it over to here! Ain't a solution to the problem, but it's another idea for a work around at least.

There are few things more frustrating then working on a Thing, and the post gets gobbled up, due to a time out, or a connection issue. Ive been using google drive as of late for my longer posts and copying and pasting. Sorry to hear your work is gone.
