Inara updates, bug reports, requests
When you try to link your accounts, you may receive the http error 400 about expired tokens. It's an issue on Frontier's end that I cannot solve on Inara. Fortunately, the solution is simple - please give it a few days and it will start to work later (probably when the access token on their cAPI server expires). If the error 400 appeared later and it worked before, try to reauthenticate as said in the error message (may be just a regular reauth forced by Frontier). Alternatively, you can try to use the workaround below. If even that won't work, it's the problem described above.
Please vote for the issue on the official bug tracker: https://issues.frontierstore.net/issue-detail/21258
Possible workaround: Try to connect the account while you are in the game. It may work.
Game data and imports not available for console commanders and PC players with Legacy game version
Inara supports only the Live game version (so PC Horizons 4.0 and Odyssey) since game update 14, thus all the game data on the site and the commander data imports work only for those game versions.

KDT.X0DER KAISERX0is it possible to connect inara with an xboxlive account ?
It's not connected to the game on PC; all the data is manually input, other than you can upload a file from I think EDMC to update market conditions, still a manual process.

NumaThe screenshots have been provided multiple times. It seems obvious that Artie needs help. Not only through donations but help with actually running the site. For now though, the beam laser blueprints are exactly the same as the burst laser ones.
I've been using this site almost since I first started playing ED. I just donated 20 Euros to support this site, because it's become an invaluable tool for me now, as I'm sure it has become for many others.
If Artie were to explicitly ask for help, there are plenty who would rally around to help him.
But, I wonder if there's any chance Frontier Developments could pick it up and make it official? Most of the groundwork's been done already by Artie, and they'd just need to maintain the site - far easier than creating one from scratch. It's pretty close to being official anyway.
Maybe Artie could suggest this and see what the response from his members is...?
Anyway, I hope he's OK.

The Elite Dangerous Market Connector, it is a PC tool that updates the market data for EDDB.io and does a couple of other things; a little controversy about it lately, but it's a useful too. I don't know, though I doubt, there is an analog for xbox.

It's a known bug getting some rep on the forums. Reported that stacking more than 6 similar missions may cause the effect.

I'm happy with the state of Inara as it is. I expect Artie has IRL priorities that are keeping him from doing the sort of things we've all grown accustomed to, and even spoiled by, in the past. And as a result, it seems like things are going unaddressed, but this is only because Artie has been so responsive for so long and we've all come to expect it. Running this site is an act of charity by him and I, for one, will not criticize his priorities.
I completely agree that were he to ask for assistance, many of us would step up. I think that putting in the mechanisms to enable this support, short of handing over the keys to the admin account, is probably a lot of work - and if Artie is pressed for time, that's not likely to happen. I'd encourage everyone to be patient. Artie is one guy, and he's built something here that full-on companies (like FD and others) have not been able to.

MagnumaniacMy ingame CMDR name (Magnum) is already taken in Inara for some reason (appears to be inactive for over a year), so nothing updates for me. Any way to get this fixed?
sry to interrupt your question, but is there a way to update automaticly from ship to inara with a tool?

Since the Elite account is a completely separate thing from the Inara one, all you can do is PM the person and see if they're willing to relinquish the name to you. Otherwise it's first come first served I'm afraid. =/

Nope, although it's on Arties to-do list so maybe some time in the future.

I just want to echo these thoughts. A few weeks ago, Artie took the time to help me recover my lost password as my email server was blocking the automated password reset emails from Inara. He took time to help me, a single dummy who lost his password. This site is fantastic and I appreciate what he has done and continues to do.

Inara does not currently work over HTTPS. It's possible to visit https://inara.cz/, but you're warned that the certificate isn't correct for the site. The certificate is for the hosting provider's site, but if you accept the warning, Inara loads correctly.
The immediate concern here is for the security of user passwords. When someone logs in, their password is currently sent in the clear. Anybody who manages to sniff traffic between the user's browser and the Inara server can see those passwords. This is a big problem for people who reuse passwords between sites.
A second concern is that both Firefox and Chrome will soon start warning users that non-HTTPS sites are insecure. This is not a good look, and may cause people to stop using Inara.
It appears that Inara's hosting provider does support SSL certificates, so it should be possible to get one for HTTPS purposes. However, they don't appear to be a certificate issuer, so a certificate would need to be obtained. This is likely to have an annual cost.
An alternative is to use Cloudflare. A free Cloudflare account can be configured to serve the site over HTTPS, with a certificate issued by Cloudflare themselves. This makes the site trusted in the browser. The connection to the Inara server can be told to use HTTPS but ignore the mismatched certificate, at least making the connection end-to-end encrypted. This will protect user passwords.
If the Inara server admins would like any advice, please contact me on the email address listed against my account.
