Commanders having Elite from Epic games store with http 400 error
When you try to link your accounts, you may receive the http error 400 about expired tokens. It's an issue on Frontier's end that I cannot solve on Inara. Fortunately, the solution is simple - please give it a few days and it will start to work later (probably when the access token on their cAPI server expires). If the error 400 appeared later and it worked before, try to reauthenticate as said in the error message (may be just a regular reauth forced by Frontier). Alternatively, you can try to use the workaround below. If even that won't work, it's the problem described above.
Please vote for the issue on the official bug tracker: https://issues.frontierstore.net/issue-detail/21258

Possible workaround: Try to connect the account while you are in the game. It may work.

Game data and imports not available for console commanders and PC players with Legacy game version
Inara supports only the Live game version (so PC Horizons 4.0 and Odyssey) since game update 14, thus all the game data on the site and the commander data imports work only for those game versions.

NumaThe most similar site is probably ED Board
The fundamental difference is though that there is no Wings support.

Thanks, looks nifty.

I'm not jumping ship yet, just preparing. Been there, done that

James HussarI would ask everyone to cut Artie a few light years of slack. Running Inara is a hobby and a community service he performs out of the goodness of his heart, when he has time available. Even those who have contributed donations should not feel like Artie *owes* them anything. Inara is not a business.

I don't think anyone was implying that Artie owes them a website - at least, I didn't interpret his comments like that. And I don't think anyone would expect him to prioritise the website over his own life.

But, one of the risks of creating a genuinely useful tool is that it sometimes grows beyond the ability of a single person to manage it.

If Artie wants to preserve sole ownership, then that's fine - we understand that it will fit around his personal life (as it should). If, however, he wants to see the website continue and grow, then there are lots of skilled people here who are willing to help him.

Right on the money!

Hello,

Just started using this site to keep tabs on my trade data, it has by far the best interface for this as far as I am concerned. However I've hit to issues while trying to update trade data in Smeaton Port - Njikan.

Firstly, if I try to upload the .csv from EDMC it fails due to a couple of unknown commodities - presumably these are an issue across the board and need adding to the site?
If I remove them from the .csv it will then update prices for all commodities apart from Painite which throws up an error regarding incorrect buy/sell prices.

That is the second issue, I can't even update Painite manually, and it seems one or both of these issues is causing the whole market for that particular port to not update from EDDM as a lot of the prices are out of date and never change.

Is there anything i'm missing here,  or is it a case of waiting for an update to the site? I expect if it's the latter I might be waiting a while by the sound of things

Yeah, I very much agree. Inara has become essential to my gaming in ED. This is where the entire "multi-player" aspect of the game exists for me and so I would be very sad to see it whither.

Having multiple moderators/sub-admins should, hopefully, be pretty straight-forward.

I have looked at ed-board.net which, while slick and in essence similar to Inara, is in many ways inferior and support and updates are spotty.

I have myself donated to Inara not once, but twice due to Artie's outstanding support and it's hard to imagine an Elite Dangerous without it.
However, if this site is not maintained, it will die a slow death as it becomes less and less relevant with future patches. There are already certain ommisions that caught me off guard (like the fact that there is no efficient beam laser listed here).

I sincerely hope that Artie either returns to continue his stirling work or, like Coriolis.io (RIP) donate the code to the community to allow them to continue.

No, you are not missing anything. Inara is missing a few of the less common commodities/data/materials... This a known problem. If Artie returns, I'm sure it will get sorted out.

Try the tool "Picard" (use the Elite forums search box) to auto update your cargo/materials/data.

Sometimes it seems to do with your standing/rep with the local faction, too. Are you "friendly" with them? Sometimes this makes a difference, or used to. The state of the system might also play into it?

On top of what others have said ... the availability of both ships and modules at any given station is not static. There's the possible set (which I believe is what the Companion API returns), and then a sub-set of those is chosen and some rotated in and out occasionally (weekly? daily? I don't know).

So, yes, any guide, be it Inara, EDDB or whatever can only at best tell you what might be at any given station.

Well... If ever you wanted a rain of hellfire to descend upon you, your wish is about to come true. May whatever deity you worship have mercy on your soul.

I mean seriously, that was unnecessary, uncalled for and clearly posted to incite an argument.

To the RPers, let's not engage him. But if you do, remember that trolls have a weakness to fire. So burn him to the ground if necessary.
