Commanders having Elite from Epic games store with http 400 error
When you try to link your accounts, you may receive the http error 400 about expired tokens. It's an issue on Frontier's end that I cannot solve on Inara. Fortunately, the solution is simple - please give it a few days and it will start to work later (probably when the access token on their cAPI server expires). If the error 400 appeared later and it worked before, try to reauthenticate as said in the error message (may be just a regular reauth forced by Frontier). Alternatively, you can try to use the workaround below. If even that won't work, it's the problem described above.
Please vote for the issue on the official bug tracker: https://issues.frontierstore.net/issue-detail/21258

Possible workaround: Try to connect the account while you are in the game. It may work.

Game data and imports not available for console commanders and PC players with Legacy game version
Inara supports only the Live game version (so PC Horizons 4.0 and Odyssey) since game update 14, thus all the game data on the site and the commander data imports work only for those game versions.

I noticed that the Engineer Dweller does not appear to have efficient beams weapons. This needs added as I am currently using grade 3 efficient beams. Not sure what max is at the moment.

So, is it normal for the login page on this site to be plain HTTP instead of HTTPS?

I wish there was a sticky to tell people

Perhaps politely would be better.

As the same question reappears so frequently (sometimes on the same page), I can sympathise with that vented frustration. I feel for the noobs though. Poor loves.

Yes, Artie does not have an SSL certificate setup, so there is no HTTPS support.

It's useless. As long as there's no presence of Artie whatsoever except as an icon on the Discord, these questions will keep popping up. Human nature, blurt out instead of doing backreading if maybe someone else already had the idea to ask and doing that in the absolute confidence that noone else must have noticed so far. Shrug your shoulders and be patient or try pestering Artie. But telling people off for pointing out that Updates are missing won't work. There will always be another one asking.

Artie! Please! Find someone you can trust and delegate. We love your site. We love what you've put together. We realize you can't attend to it 24/7.

Ryan256It would be great if it would be possible for a select group of moderators to make additions and updates to the site on Artie's behalf. Maybe add a feature where all he has to do is approve them. I understand he has a life and cannot spend a ton of time on this site. I'm sure there are many talented individuals who would be willing to help.

The same posts keep coming up every other week.
I'm sure Artie is lurking and reading but for whatever reason he is unable/unwilling to commit further time and resources. He will or will not be back. It's that simple..

One of the places I worked, I created a massive FileMaker database. While I was working there, I religiously updated it with requests from all the workers. Unfortunately after I left, nobody was there to continue the good work. As such, as procedures in the company changed, that database became more and more obsolete and difficult to manage.. apparently after three years, it was abandoned and took them forever to migrate the data to a new piece of software. In the end, I think my database is caused a plus-minus zero in total efficiency after the costs of migration were taken into consideration.
Shame, because when it worked it worked well. And it was all that the other staff wanted. However, I never found someone to take over the reins. I never explain to anybody how the database worked and so to everyone else it was a black box.

Fair dinkum to them. They come to a site and see something missing. They post telling us. How did they know that Artie is away? If they can't read the posts saying that stuff hasn't been updated, then they're not going to read your one line of capital letters.

He's actually suggesting that should be a sticky appearing on each page, he's not saying it himself as such. It would have a better chance of being read.

Artie, can you add some widget that would be apparent to newbies about the fact that you're temporarily away? Oh... Wait...

Either my sarcasm radar (sarcadar?) is broken or I need new glasses.

Then again, it might be a Safari thing. It often is.

In the achievements area I would like to see a section for Permits, similar to the Engineers. In other words a place to log what permits I have versus what permits are out there. Otherwise great site.

Over on the right-hand side of this page there is a to-do list of features intended to be implemented. Permits are on that list!

ToDo list (in no particular order):
  • Bulletin/bounty board
  • Gallery and documents support for wings
  • Stations comparison
  • Favorite trade routes
  • Permit list
  • Some kind of API
  • 150+ other tweaks and improvements
